I have been struggling with my weight for over 20 years (since I was 8). The weight has negatively affected my self-esteem, my relationships, my jobs...basically everything in my life.Once I made up my mind to get the lap band, I went through the process very quickly. Here's a timeline:12/5/09 - Group Seminar (starting weight = 245lbs)12/8/09 - EKG, Blood Test, got financing, scheduled surgery12/10/09 - got Upper GI12/13/09 - started pre-op diet12/22/09 - pre-op appt (lost 6lbs)12/29/09 - surgery (lost a total of 8lbs before surgery)My goal is the lose 100lbs and get down to 145lbs.
