  1. thanks so much kawika. I was totally feeling like a failure lat month because lack of pounds lost. However I gained victory when I went to the mall and all of a sudden was wearing a size 10 from a 14. I carry a lot of muscle in my legs but gotta lotta fat in my lower tummy. It's going down though. I have been very open about my surgery. One lady told me I took the easy way out. Haha. Whatever. If weight loss were easy, I would be a size 4. I do Bootcamp and zumba.

You are inspirational. I can't believe you've lost 137 lbs! High five my friend. How much more are u shooting for? Keep up the great work. How much can u eat in a meal now? I vary at meals. Sometimes I can eat a whole enchilada out of a corn tortilla and sometimes I can only eat a few bites, just to Put the portion in perspective for you.

We are on our way to Disneyland to Celebrate our 17th anniversary. Talk soon. Aloha, LisaLisa

Hi Lisa Lisa my sleeve buddy. Ok I can remember you in the hospital and you were walking like crazy--down to my room and beyond. I wanted to feel half as good as you looked but it was tough. Congratulations on being so close to your goal. You are really doing this!

I'm down from 381 to 244 since our surgery in January. That's 137 pounds gone forever! I love walking now and I'm getting in 3.5 miles in an hour. Sometimes I wish SF didn't have so many damn hills! LOL.

You inspire me to get more weights in as a part of my exercise program. I go to the gym but pumping Iron is right up there with root canal for me. Not my favorite.

Keep up your great work. You are awesome and amazing.

  2. Darga, no regrets. Sometimes I still forget that my tummy is small and I'll go to chug some Water or a cold glass of milk and say whoops can't do that. I have not thrown up at all. Occasional nausea when I take my Vitamins. I can eat mostly what I want just in small quantities. I still don't eat popcorn, steak, celery, regular coffee, bread, doughy rthings, rice, and other things. I need to get back to my Protein Shakes. I got burnt out on them and haven't had Any for a month.

My goal is to kick off 5 lbs to get into 150s by 6 months. If it weren't for the surgery I personally would still be morbidly obese. Nothing has worked for me for 10 years.

    The best to u.

    Lisalisa

  3. Hi everyone. First of all, you guys who r up for surgery, you will be thrilled. I am almost 5 months out.. I have lot 53 lbs. I went from size 18 to 10 so far. I went from size 2XL to med/large tops. II am 25 lbs fro goal. I feel amazing. I do weight training and Zumba. I haven't lost much weight this past month but the inches are melting. I went down a whole size.

Think and look beyond the first few days after surgery. It's really a great experience.

    Best to you.

  4. I have lost 52 lbs since starting this. However I've been stalled for a month. I have been bummed out because if that. I have 30 lbs to go to goal. One good thing is I was a size 12 last month and now I'm a size 10. So my weight hasn't changed but my size has. I am happy about that, but still feel bad cuz my right isn't moving. I know, probably losing fat and gaining muscle. I just want to see that number on the scale go down. am I going to forever be 167! :(

    Lisa

  5. I wondered myself why kaiser doesn't offer a gym membership and p/t as an option. Would seem cheaper. However I did get the sleeve and went through the kaiser program and am very happy I did. I have lost 47.7 lbs. Um almost 2 months out and feel amazing. I did not go through a 12 week program. Best to you. Lisa

  6. Howdy. Wow I'm loving my sleeve. Although there are certain things I just can't stand to even eat anymore. eggs, spanish rice or any rice, hot dogs, soft bread, to name a few. Foods that I love now that I didn't before are asparagus, white fish, Soups.< /p>

I'm 2 lbs away from being in the "overweight" category. I will be saying bye bye to obese forever. I was happy when I said bye bye to morbidly obese. Now it's OBESE's turn to buzz off.

I have found a new love. Actually two new loves. ZUMBA and TURBO FIRE. I have lost 18.75 inches since surgery. Amazing. 5 inches in each of my chest, hips, and waist. unbelievable!!!

One day when I had the sharp stomach pains (during the flu bug thing that I had) I almost panicked and felt almost claustrophobic about my little stomach. it was a weird panic but it subsided. That has been the only time I felt strange about my sleeve. Other than that instance, I love my sleeve.

    How's everyone else doing?

    Aloha, Lisa

  7. hi all. Been awhile since I've posted. Today I had a 1/2 piece of sourdough bread and it about did me in. Tasted so good, but within 2 minutes my mouth got all watery and I fought from throwing up. It was horrible. But all day I've been achy and my stomach has hurt, so wondering if I have a bug.

I'm down to 176. Only lost 9.5 lbs this month. I'm down 33.5 lbs since surgery and 44.5 overall. I'm almost out of the obese category. I'm so excited. This month I'm going to work on more toning and weight loss. I might have only lost 9.5 this month, but the inches have been melting away like crazy. So happy. Next month's goal is 160s. I can't wait.

  8. I relate to all of those. Wow.

    1) My once love of Spanish rice is gone. I hate it.

    2) eggs gag me. I've been trying all different ways to cook them and ugh.

    3) Don't take two laxatives to make yourself regular. OMG, the next day is a nightmare.

    4) I love exercise more then ever...especially in the form of Zumba or kickboxing or walking.

    5) this newfound love of myself is exhilarating.

    Plus all of yours above

  9. Congratuations. What an accomplishment. Reading what your worries were at the beginning reminds me of my own insecurities. I'm looking forward to one year. I was sleeved January 5th. I've lost 25.5 lbs since surgery. I'm stuck at 184 now. Sometimes when I am in a stall, I worry that that is IT! And that I won't lose anymore. You give me hope.
