  1. I'll be visiting my mom this week. You know the one that tells me I should lose weight but in the same breath say "Why aren't you eating? Are you sick?" Gotta love her though. ^^

My MOM is gone now, and I wishshe could be here to tell me: Sister, I don't know how you get around, when I weighed 275#'s or so. And then my Granddad saying: Shirley, (which is not my name) all you got to do is push yourself away from the table!! Now that one I don't miss at all) Woe is us

@shedo82773 I'm sorry :(. My dad past away a couple of years ago, and I'd do anything to have him here with me too. I admit that a few of my relatives & all their past comments o.O, I don't miss at all either hehe.

  2. Part of this forum since 2010, now that I'm making an effort to converse, I realize I'm socially inept. I'm the epitome of "the cat's got your tongue." o.O

Thanks @Sai Real Life can be tough. Dealing with the legal mess and my still sick Dad. Have to straighten out and fix the legal nightmare his ex-wife created. I don't like shuffling papers and reading contracts, etc, but it has to be done. I finally have bit more energy for the battles.

Good luck with your mission. You now have few new friends who will help you!

@Shell Renewed Aww Shell. I guess I'll always suffer from some type of distortion, whether it's body, mind or emotional. Thank you so much <3

Can u tel me what Pork Clouds are Please?

    2. Sai

      Sai

Hi @shedo82773 They are pork rinds that are prepared with olive oil, no artificial ingredients or preservatives...etc. I saw them at the health store one day, and I found them on Amazon too. I got the Malabar black pepper flavor. Really tasty especially if you like pork rinds & are on a low carb diet.

  6. Ugh, last night wasn't a bad dream after all. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Well, at least now I can't eat over it.

Or you could have not come into the thread at all just to fling poop at people who are upset that a pig like that could actually be the leader of the free world? Stay with your own ilk. Because I will never open my mind to agreeing that racism, misogyny, or xenophobia are good qualities. Sorry.

You don't come onto a thread and the first thing you say is "I'm so glad I live in the south where people can think for them selves and not fall pray to all the liberal media". How do you expect to be treated with that judgmental statement? You've been defending the indefensible, that's why people are giving you a hard time. SMH... I wasn't going to say anything because like I said before if Trump is your candidate, it's waste of time to debate with you but maybe after this thread, hopefully you'll get it through your head that once you attack, you're open season.

  7. I get the majority of my protein from fish but am working on getting more plant protein into my diet. Did you know that for every 3% increment of plant protein in a diet, risk of death decreased 10% & risk of cardiovascular death decreased 12%? :D

@LisaMergs I do too hehe... But just 3% of plant protein we could do that (I bet you probably do :P).

  8. I love pickles but every time I eat one. I temporarily gain 2 lbs the next day. I need to find some tasty low sodium ones. It's not the weight that bothers me but more why does my body DO that? grrrr

I had mild edema before surgery too, I would get swelling in my feet, ankles and calves quite a bit (especially after sitting for long periods of time). It has totally vanished, now. I think part of it was because I was chronically dehydrated due to all the Coke I was drinking, and probably other issues related to weight. But after dropping a bunch of weight, it has disappeared. So it may resolve itself over time. But yeah, salt just makes you swell up unless you also have enough potassium in your diet to help regulate the sodium intake, and potassium isn't something you can really supplement, it has to come primarily from food. Bananas and Broccoli! :)

@Stevehud that's what I'm going to do, that's what I've been doing but whole cauliflower was on sale so I bought it.

@WLSResources/ClothingExch it is definitely convenient. I get mine at Kroger grocery. Not sure if you have a Kroger by you... But after today, I will never try to do it again with the tools I have in my kitchen lol. (i.e. Nutribullet)

  10. They should have in the type of surgery option "Revision" because it looks weird to say you lost over 100 lbs. and you just had surgery a month ago.

There's another wrinkle or layer to the stats section. Some people actually lose oodles of weight before having any surgery. Often they're people who started at 400+.

@proudgrammy hehe this time I was just looking at one of my posts today, and thought, that really looks odd. :) ty ^^

@WLSResources/ClothingExch So very true, like during pre-op diets. Some of those people are so amazing to lose so much weight on their own. I struggled big time :P:)

Hey, now that I'm snooping around your page, I'm seeing this coffee topic for the first time. I drink coffee proudly. Years ago I got into the habit of using fat-free evap milk. I sweeten/flavor with SF choc syrup or vanilla extract, cinnamon & splenda. Now and then it's smething like SF gingerbread syrup. When I'm at a Starbucks for their coffee made by boiling rusted iron, I use 2% milk, splenda and the unsweetened mocha they keep on the station. I resent having to do all that cooking myself at Starbucks, given their prices and paper cup. I probably drink 4 or 5 mugs on an average day. I know, more info that you were wanting.

    4. Sai

      Sai

hehehe @WLSResources/ClothingExch I could talk coffee all day. lol I have never tried all those things. I just use my Keurig but that gets expensive too. I think it's great you drink that much a day. It's a superfood :D. @Shell Renewed I just saw this, boo notifications hehe. Any way to celebrate is good to me!

  12. Nothing like waking up in the morning to a barfing cat /cry. I swear one of my cats are bulimic. I took her to the vet & there is nothing wrong with her. Poor kitty but poor me too.

One of my cats is a frequent puker and always tries to puke on the carpet. Whenever we hear the tell-tale HURK HURK HURK sound we run to move him to the tile floor and hold him there until he's done. Works great, except the one time he was just halfway sitting on the tile, and when I picked him up to face him towards the tile, he let go mid-turn and became a whirling cat vomit fountain.

    4. Sai

      Sai

hehehe @Fredbear I relate. Nothing in the world gets me to move faster than hearing that "hurk hurk hurk" sound. I actually search for an apartment/condo that had hardwood floors. It helps but then there is the bed, the bathroom rug, the living room rug... cry.

  13. How you feeling today, Tiff? You feeling less nauseous? Just checking up on you.

@Browneyedgirl41 Yes this do... and lol I never would have guessed that mom forums get nasty. haha omgosh.

    3. laceemouse

      laceemouse

The first forums I did were Disney related. New people always ask the same questions (when to go, where to stay, how to save money, should I take my kids out of school....) Veterans, of course, have answered those questions a million times so often newbies are ignored. I feel sorry for them so I try to answer. But then, when veterans answer, they don't always agree. Fights break out because of different opinions. Then of course there are Disney fans who don't want anything to change EVER and others who complain about every change, every price hike, etc. If you stick up for anything you are told to take off your "rose colored glasses". So dumb. Then we started homeschooling and homeschool mom forums, OH MY WORD. Talk about drama! Some of it has to do with religion and politics but lots of it comes from the "the way I do things is best that's why MY kids are awesome" category. Ugh. I left all of those groups years ago. I find that the larger the group sometimes the worse it is. I also think part of the problem is we can't see facial expressions, things often come across differently than what they were meant to mean. I avoid political forums but do read articles online and comments can be nuts.

    4. Sai

      Sai

@laceemouse Wow Disney forums too? lol I can see that though, my brother has had a Disney pass for yeeears. He's is one of those conservative classic Disney lovers, and like you said, he would be happy with the same Fantasia show forever if they played it lol. Great point about the new people always asking the same questions and after awhile their threads go unanswered. Now, I can see totally see how the mom forums can get nasty lol... The homeschooling debate can get crazy. I never had a kid so I've never visited one.

  15. Uplifting others is always a sure fire way of uplifting myself.

  16. Past midnight, and it now has been exactly 2 wks since I got back on track again. Regained that honeymoon feeling about my band. Feels good.

  17. So weird that my feet are thinner too. I used to be a wide foot, now I'm a B width. I bought some boots last month and my feet were sliding back and forth so I had to exchange them.

  18. Went out to my favorite restaurant tonight. Whew I did ok. Kept reminding myself how well I did this week. Ahh the temptation!

  19. Day 7 of getting back on track. Feels good.

  20. A little nervous about having to leave my kittys for a week next month. I won't eat over it though.

  21. Two good days. Feeling good being back on track.

  22. Excited about my fluoro today
