I am being proactive when it comes to my weight gain. Over the course of 7 years I have gained 50lbs that I can not get rid of. Grant it some of this initially came from me having a child but come on now 50lbs is a lot of weight. I have tried many different diets from slim fast to let's lose (injections and pills) but this is becoming too risky for me. I have some health issues like high blood pressure and I don't want to run the risk of making my health problems worse than they already are. I asked my primary doctor about weight loss options but all he ever says is count your calories. I have been counting calories for years and I have gained pound after pound. It's time for a change. My current weight is 233 lbs but when you see me you don't see 233lbs because I am 5'6 and my weight is distributed equally. I think this is why my doctor thinks I don't need to lose weight. I am making regular visits to the doctors office and all he say's is your just a little over weight just continue to count your calories. This entire scenario has gotten old for me. I need some help. I need to get this weight off of me. I don't want to depend on medication for the rest of my life. I poured all of this information in my husband lap so that I could make sure I wasn't over acting or just seeking a weight loss option. He confirmed some of my concerns. We are pretty weight conscience as a family so overeating isn't the issue. My husband actually agreed with me in regards to the surgery and he's not big on me wanting to change anything cosmetically but for health reasons this is the best option for me. I am excited about my first seminar on August 17, 2010. I am also excited about losing some of this extra weight. I can't say I've always been large because I haven’t. This is hard for me because I have always been very physical. Fellow banders this is a new journey for me and I am ready to embark on it and achieve my weight loss goal and bench marking at 130lbs. Follow my story and watch my progress....Cherry03 future bander......
