    regulations?

Yikes I am almost sorry I even asked. To think the biggest worry I had was whether it had as much protein as they claim. I have tried the muscle milk pre-made shakes but none of the others. Thanks for posting this.
  4. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone regulates the protein powders? How do we know we are getting what they say?

    Chocolate Milk Diet shake?

Hi, It sounds good and the price isn't bad. It does concern me a bit that I could not find its full nutritional label. As far as the sweet tooth I make super chocolate protein shakes. I use Hood's Calorie Countdown chocolate milk (same amount of calories and fat as skim milk) add chocolate protein powder (unjury or It's About Time) a spoonful of Nestle's Nesquik surgar free, and 1/4 cup of sugar free chocolate pudding that I add a scoop of protein to when I make and use the Calorie Countdown to make it. I make other flavors too.

    Backing Out of Surgvery

Hi, I felt the same way when my surgery got close I think the last week I went in hermit mode because because just talking about it was freaking me out. I am 7 months out now and absolutely no regrets and am so happy to have done it. I did have a few "what have I done to myself" moments the first week but none since. I still have to make conscious smart choices but they are easier now and truly I can eat whatever I want I just make it a point to be sure to eat protein first. Case in point went to IHOP today with a friend we ordered the same thing a mushroom and cheese scarmbler with bacon hash browns and pancakes. I ate two strips of bacon abut 1/2 of the scrambler two bites of hash browns and half a pancake my friend ate every bite and we both left happy. I satisfy my sweet tooth with my morning protein shakes. I'd do it all again in a heart beat.
  12. Hi, I was self paid and had my surgery here in the states. I got to do my evaluation on the phone and took maybe 20-30 minutes.
  13. Have you tried ordering on line? I know my calcium levels dropped when I stopped taking it for just a two week period and I was already five months out so I believe it is important to take.

    What to stock up on?

Right now you and your mom should start looking into getting samples and trying out which protein shakes/drinks that you two can drink some people have a lot of trouble with their taste. Surgar free jello making it on your own is cheaper and the boxes keep longer same with sugar free puddings, sugar free apple sauce, and soups I bought chicken noodle soups and just strained the noodles and chicken pieces out. Vitamins I get mine at good old Walmart b 12 chewable or liquid (I took these 4 times a week), chewable vitamins are not all that great tasting I found the gummy ones the most tolerable and liquid calcium not the best tasting but doable. Also vitamin D.
  15. Good for you!! Almost 50lbs in just 7 weeks is fantastic!

How to get rid of sugar cravings

Hi, For me it is sugar free puddings made with skim milk with a scoop of protein. I also doctor my shakes with Nesquik's sugar free chocolate mix I also like adding Torani sugar free syrups.

    Liquid diet crisis

I could not drink any of the protein shakes that were made with water only skim milk with water it came up on me pre-op. The Unjury chicken soup flavor I mixed into strained chicken noodle soup. I also made sugar free puddings that I would add a scoop of protein to the mix. I need more protein then most because of my work outs so I start my mornings with a protein shake. I have several doctored recipes I use I will add Nesquik sugar free chocolate and use Walmart's Calorie Countdown chocolate milk (same calories and fat as skim milk) I'll also add 1/4 cup of sugar free pudding, I will add Torani sugar free syrups, So far I have made carmel, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes. I use both unjury and "It's About Time" protein mixes.
