    NSV, NSV, NSV for Me!

Oh that is just so amazing! I am so excited for you.
  3. Everytime my roots start to grow I try to put off doing anything about it until it looks bad. Because of Thanksgiving I waited too long because of course I wanted to color right before. So DH finally notices all the grey and thought it was because I was losing hair!

  4. Hi All, We did Thanksgiving here first time in too many years to remember we were planning on 17-19 people so I only made the turkey, stuffing, a duck rolls and a cake with a day's worth of calories in it. I started the morning with a protein shake and was feeling satisfied until our dinner. I ate a little bit of everything made sure I ate the duck meat first the veggies next so I was happy with just a taste of mashed potatoes, stuffing and cake.
  5. Hi, Just saw that it was your Birthday! Happy Happy a little late. How is your hair? I am obsessing over mine I have always had very thin hair and even losing a small percentage will be noticeable.

Can you Eat These Foods Eventually?

Hi, I am almost 13 weeks out and can eat everything on your list in small amounts the only I can not tolerate is carbonation.
  7. Hi, That's one of my biggest fears I am 12 weeks out and will worry non stop about. Nancy
  8. Can you believe its been 3 months!

  9. Hi, I was self paid and had to have the same tests, a psych and nut interviews I didn't need an upper GI or endoscope because I had had one three years ago. Most of the tests are covered in the surgery costs.
  10. My biggest worry is eating too much or too fast. This is going to be a very stress full week. Neither DH nor I really care for Thanksgiving and yet we are doing it here we are not sure if there will be 18 or 19 or 23 coming I had already bought the turkey 21lbs when the number jumped from 12 to 18. Seven that are now coming are my in laws (hubby's brother and sister and her family) a more dysfunctional group you'd be hard press to find. And why you may ask are we even doing this well my husband's dad went into hospice care last week. DH's sister and her family live in the area but have had nothing to do with my FIL even though we have all known this was coming for a year now plan on visiting him next weekend and I have to have them at my table???? My BIL isn't nearly as bad but he is high maintenance, socially rude and an all around PITA and while he has been there for his dad these last four months he regularly gets overwhelmed by it all and lashes out at his dad not to mention that he has been coming down staying at our home every 2-3 weeks he comes down decides to take charge causes chaos gets overwhelmed and drives back home in a huff. And he rarely gives more then a few days notice he just let us knowing he was coming for Thanksgiving last week.

    Bras!

Hi All I have never been well endowed at my heaviest my cup size was almost a D cup. Well 12 weeks out my girls are looking like two tiny deflated air balloons! B cups are too small and C cups way too big it is not pretty ladies! To make matters worse is the fact that I have never been smaller the a 36 (40 at my largest). Now what can I do at the gym to tighten up that loose skin??? Anyone remember the old "Granny" cartoons in Playboy?

    Rings

Wow Texas your husband definitely sounds like a keeper For now I have this very thin silver band I picked up at Walmart and wear it in front of my wedding band. As for my wrist watch it is so loose I can stick two fingers comfortably between the band and my wrist!

    Chalky Skin

Hi, I am three months out and don't have chaky skin. I do remember having a friend years ago how had bypass and he told me because of the malabsorption syndrome his skin tended to be on the pale side. Nancy

    Blenders

Hi, Walmart has one by Oster that is both a blender/food processor comes with two different containers. I believe it was less then $20. I am 12 weeks out and so far have only used the blender part but it works great. Nancy
  20. Hi, I am three months too and just ended a stall. My weight seems to do a Texas two step. I'll drop 2-3 pounds and then "gain" it back then will bounce up and down 1 pound and then after a week or so will drop that 2-3 pounds and not gain it back. It can be frustrating but I am pretty sure it is normal. Nancy

    1 in 200 die ?

Hi All, I think those stats are right but the problem with it is that it doesn't give nearly enough information. What are the stats for those with BMI's over 50 vs those 35, what are the stats for those who have other high risk health issues vs those that have no co morbidities? Age? Compliance? This is major surgery and no surgery is 100%.
  22. Hi, I am doing pretty good my scale keeps doing a two step I'll drop down a couple of pounds then they come back stick there for days and then drops back down! How are you doing? Any better with your energy levels? One thing I didn't expect is how much better I sleep.

    1 in 200 die ?

Hi, 1 in 200 is 1/2 percent which really isn't high not that long ago it was 20% for wls. Nancy
  24. Hi, How are you doing? Did they have to go back and close again? Do you still have a feeding tube? I think of you often and hope things are getting better.

    Nancy
