Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!
Welcome!! The journey for the lower bmi is a different one, for most of us. We do lose slower and dont want to hear that it can take us up to a year to lose, even if it is less, but IT WILL COME OFF EVENTUALLY if you follow the rules of Protein first, veggies then healthy carb last, no empty calories in liquid form, ice cream, Cookies or chips during the weight loss period. Of course once in a while is okay if you can trust yourself to not to make it a daily thing, or if you can keep it to a very small quantity a day. I think lower bmi is around 40ish,what do you guys think? Of course anyone is welcome! And for those who were a high bmi, lost weight and are now a lower bmi!!! This is going to be a great year! Baby

Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!
I initially lost 25 in the first 2 1/2 months. Then, I plateaud for 6 months. I started losing again and lost 15 more, recently. Get in your Water and exercise does make a difference. I would have had better results if I had. And keeping to the Protein first, veggies and carb last. Limited sweets, fruit instead, no calorie drinks only, no ice cream, Cookies or chips. Those are Huge pitfalls! I hope that helps! Baby

Anyone here?
Sula: That is one "trick" I have tried to use, as soon as you go down in size, donate what doesnt fit anymore so if your "new" clothes get snug you have to re access what you are doing or be naked!!! And no stretch clothes! My jeans are a little snug!!! I have been going to the gym at least 3 times a week for weight training. I am also using a self tanner and looking nicely tan! Tan always look tone! I have also been making my own tea blend, black tea, white tea, green tea, ginsing tea and a stick of cinnamon!!! With a splash of vanilla soymilk and a little unprocessed cane sugar! How are you all doing? I got a little sore throat last night, but am feeling better! I am looking forward to kicking in to a higher gear my exercise routine, healthier eating, etc. Our church is doing a 2 week fast (Daniel Fast) and it is also very good for health. Happy New Year my band sisters! Sunshine: It is cool to think we are the "experienced bandsters" now with a year under our belts! I love it when people ask me questions! It makes me feel good to make a difference and help others!

Lower BMI Bandsters!
I ATE!!!! And I am bloated, premenstrual, but I am still working out with weight training 3 times a week and cardio 2 times a week. I am up a few pounds and have not taken my QuickSlim30 for about a month. But, I am proud of myself that I didn't gain like I normally did. But, no restriction!!!! I have 3 cc in a 4 cc band and don't really have restriction, maybe a few days out of the month now. But, thank God for my QuickSlim30 or else I'd be crying!!

For me, it helped me with my metabolism, detoxed me, curbed my appetite, reduced cravings, etc. There is also a link to the site at my posts.

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Well, I guess it would mean something different to each of us, but it would be the accountability and for us to be able to encourage each other. I ate like a pig yesterday and today!!! I was able to eat anything and everything I wanted and feel gross!!! The QuickSlim30 really makes all the difference for me and I can't wait to order it in a few days!!! I went to the gym yesterday and did about 20 minutes cardio on the bike and did about 40 minutes of upper body, chest, tricepts, free weights and machines. Merry Christmas!!!

I had never understood why weight training was so important but I do now! Lets do a challenge Sunshine, like you tried before, but maybe on this thread for those who want to check in with their progress?? What do you think?

Lower BMI Bandsters!
I had cream of chicken, split pea Soup, bought a mix to make tortilla soup (only added water) and put it in my food processor (walmart $14), also put chili Beans with nacho cheese in my food processor (only did this during this stage to get enough calories in). Go to the soup isle and see what looks appealing and just put it in a food processor with some water! It is surprising filling and tastes great!

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Congrats!! Let us know if you have any questions! It takes time to get to a good level of restriction. None of us wanted to hear that. It has to be creeped up on or you can get over filled and have problems, then get unfilled and start all over again. I only have restriction maybe 1 week or so now out of the month near my premenstrual time. The rest of the time I can eat "normally". I can still occasionally get stuck and pb, but I don't want any more fill than I have. I decided to use a supplement when i was first banded to help me with my appetite and that would help my metabolism. It helped me out a lot. But, you can also do other things to help yourself, like drinking enough Water or like me, I drink crystal light, tea and water when I go to the gym. Take your Vitamins, I was using liquid vitamins. Have enough Protein to keep you feeling full too.

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Welcome!!! I felt the same way! I was at 190 but knew the way I felt I was on the upswing again!!! I had weighed 240, lost weight, then up to 240 again, lost some for a wedding, than started gaining again. I was out of control!!! My body had been thru too much already and I didn't wan to gain like that again.

Anyone here?
You and me both!:faint: I miss it! I am happy to say I have not even gone up one pound!!! I have been eating Cookies, eating out, etc But, I love the way it makes me feel, clearheaded, energy, etc. I didn't realize the energy it gave me till I didn't have it!!! My husband was loving it! It did a lot for his "stamina" if you know what I mean!!!:clap2: Not that he had a problem, but, let's just say he was a happy camper!!!! I have been having a lot more sweets than I normally do and I don't like that. Even if I am not gaining, I want to lose 5 more pounds.

Anyone here?
That is true! I think for the first time in my life, I won't have a New Years Resolution to lose a lot of weight. I wanted to get as close to shape by then. But, I want to have a "fresh new start" with the new year. I want to eat better/healthier. I have been eating whatever, whenever. I don't want to use the QuickSlim30 as an excuse to eat whatever I want when I want to just because I lost weight anyway. I want to eat healthier for my health. I want to make sure that I keep up my exercise/weight training. I also would like to update my wardrobe. I want a new look. Maybe a new color. Not sure what color though. But, I want to do something kinda drastic. I want to maybe do some highlights or go strawberry red!!

Anyone here?
The good thing is that after maintaining, you will still be shrinking and then lose again. I am going to add the patch to the pills when I get it. I am going to cut the patch in 1/2, since for me it was too strong. I shrank fast though. I am maintaining and eating anything I want which is good! But, I do want to lose another 5 pounds. I want to eat healthier after the holidays and will probably drop it, while using the QuickSlim30. I do need to help myself by eating right, drinking plenty of Water or crystal light, exercising. But, I am very happy with the way my body is reshaping!

Anyone here?
TOM is coming for me too and I feel bloated! I am still going to the gym and am excited about the little changes I am staring to see! I can't wait to see how my body changes in response to the weight training and being "thin". How is everyone doing? Any one have any New Years Resolutions?

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Welcome to all the new people!!! I am so happy to hear everyone is doing so well! Dr. Ortiz and staff make the smallest possible incisions, stitch from the inside and use crazy glue to hold the skin closed. My incisions look really good too! Any New Years Resolutions? These are mine! 1. Continue to go to the gym to weight train 3 times a week and do cardio in between. 2. Eat healthier 3. Buy new clothes and re-invent myself! How about you guys?

Started with personal trainer!
I have both started weight training with a personal trainer. It has been kicking my butt!!!! It has been 2 weeks and we love it. The QuickSlim30 really helps with the weight training. My body is really toning up and taking on a very nice shape. I don't even recognize my body! I am maintaining at 146 even during the holidays. QuickSlim30 is out of stock and I have not been able to take it, but I am still maintaining my weight loss. I know muscle weighs more than fat, so I may gain a little, but want to lose some too. My trainer thinks I would look good at 135. I will shoot for 140. I need to see how I look with the muscle tone. But, I am for the first time in my life very happy with my body size and the way my clothes are fitting me! My metabolism was so low from being banded and I wasn't losing weight anymore. My fill was tight enough, but not tight enough to lose. I was pbing and getting stuck. I even pb'd the other day on liquids and a small bite of cracker! I don't want another fill and am happy with the loss of appetite and smaller portion control the QuickSlim30 gives me.
