    Old/New to site Need Help!

Well I say you did the best thing you could which is by knowing you need to do something, and joining a gym. I say cut out a bunch of motivational sayings and put them up all through out the house and put up a goal dress or pants or something that you want to fit into. Up your protein and add some fiber into it. You can do it take it day at a time or hour by hour whatever it takes if you fall off the wagon then get back on. everyone makes mistakes so don't be afraid of that. I hope when I have my surgery I will do as good as you!
  7. I know how you feel, my hubby is a SSG in the army and he is about to head to korea for a year then we will be headed for texas..He isn't going to be here when I have surgery. It is hard when they are away, but you got to find stuff today and just think man you are going to europe next year just imagine what you are going to look like and even more important what you will feel like. I wish you all the best and I will keep your son in my prayer for a safe return.
  8. Well i think it is crappy that person you know is willing to talk.. I have not had it yet but I can tell this site is pretty awsome, check out the nutrition part and write some ideas down.

Protein powder that tastes good with water?

I agree GNC has some good options either there brand or isopure which is good... Even tho I am a big chocolate eater(or was) I have found that the vanilla is the best because you can do more with it, can make it chocolate or fruity or coffe or PB or Choco PV, or pumpkin pie or you name it many options!!! My fav I have tried as of yet is 1or2 scoops vanilla protein powder, a little Sugar free choco syrup and some instant decafe coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hmmmmmmmmmm so good. I think i will make me one now.
  14. Well I say you have come to the right place.. We wish you all the best of luck. And keep us informed.
  15. I just wanted to introduce myself, My name is kelly and I have been on this journey for about 2 years just trying to decide if i wanted to do it.. I tried every diet just like all of you, but what made me decide 100% was my father had 3 heart attacks in 3months last year then this year he found out that he had throat cancer and after that I found out that my cholestrol & blood pressure was high.. So NO MORE waiting and excuses. NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to get it off and keep it off no for looks but to prevent that bad road that i would eventually go down...I am a very active person i do aerobics classes and walk 3miles a day and still nothing I want to live and want to have children so i say YES let the journey offically start..

    hello to all

well two years ago when I began I just had one that my insurance company sent me to got half way through with the process then decided to give it a little bit and see if i could give it a real chance.. then after all that stuff with my dad (the worlds greatest dad) I actually talked to a couple friends that did more research than i had and they had bypass with this one of two docs that i am going to see. They actually hold several patents in laparoscopic surgery. and was one of the first ever to preform that type of surgery.. His name is dr steven scott. I feel very comfortable with knowing all of those things.
