  2. Hi. I am 5 days post op. I had my sleeve done at Ochsner in New Orleans, La. My incision pain is fine. I had buyer's remorse for the first 2-3 days, but feeling much better now... Today, feeling a little lightheaded and hungry or is it acid? I would love to hear everyone's story 1 week post op. What are you all eating/drinking? I am definitely having trouble with protein intake.
  3. Hi Everyone.... I had my sleeve done on July 26th.... 5 days post op. I had to stay in the hospital 2 nights due to nausea/vomiting. I was very depressed until yesterday... thinking "What did I do to myself" ... I definitely had buyers remorse. Today is a much better day with my mood. I am starting to feel hungry or is it acid? I am going to start Prilosec today because my insurance refused to pay for Prevacid.

  6. Glad to see everyone is doing well since their surgery. I am doing very well, only lingering incisional pain at the site of the port. Not too bad though. I see the doctor on Wednesday and hope to advance my diet. I am hungry!!!
  7. I really like Dr. Wooldridge! He is good looking! LOL!!! The entire staff is extremely nice.... I am soooo glad I decided to have my surgery there!
  8. I had my surgery on 7/22 in New Orleans... Just wondering if anyone here is from my area.
  9. My surgery date was 7/22 also! I am not having very much incisional pain but the gas is most aggravating. I am hungry though! I am eating creamy Soups, broth, popsicles and I will start pudding tomorrow. I was told clear/full liquids for 2 weeks then advance to soft... never told anything about a puree stage. I would love to have more selection though!!! Congrats to everyone and hope all is well!!
  10. Hi Everyone!!! I am doing so much better today. Walked around in the yard this afternoon. The gas pain is still there but not bad at all! I have been hungry though. I started my protein shakes today and that has helped. Everyday will get better!!!!!
  11. Hello everyone! I am finally home. I had to stay 2 nights because of epigastric pain and nausea. I haven't been able to eat anything since the night before my surgery. Thankfully, today, I am able to eat SF popsicles. I think the pain is more gas!! How is everyone else doing? I hope all is well!!
  12. Of course you can join our group!!! We will can all stick together!!
  13. Good luck everyone on OUR surgeries this week. I will be thinking of all of you!!! Post after surgery to let everyone know how they are doing!!
  14. The Isopure is 2-3 per day! Also, skim milk, 1 scoop of vanilla Protein powder, frozen berries and ice in blender makes an awesome smoothie.... I prefer that over EVERYTHING else.. I am starting to get nauseated when I even hear the word protein!!! LOL!!..
  15. Hello Everyone! I am scheduled to have Lapband on 7/22/10... I am on the 3rd day of this horrible liquid diet also.. I found a variety pack Isopure punches at GNC, not milk based! Flavors are grape, pineapple banana, cherry, apple, etc... It is kind of expensive though... $17.00 for 6 bottles. 1 bottle has 40g of Protein though....I find it is easier to drink these than the milk shakes... Put in a blender with ice to make a slush!! I have been drinking flavored Water, broth and juice from my vegetable Soup I made earlier... I am still hungry though!!!!
  16. Anyone who was banded recently, please post how you are doing and what you are able to eat right now...Just wondering how it is within the first 2 weeks after surgery. THanks!!!
  17. I found out from my nutritionist that the Kelloggs shakes were the wrong ones to drink... Went to GNC today and bought Isopure Protein punches... Better than the shakes...with 40g of protein per drink!.. I think because we are all having Lapband basically at the same time, we should all stick together as a group through our weight loss journey.... share our ups and downs and help each other through this time! Keep posting everyone! Angelle
