    I Hate You All!

I'm self pay also, I moved back in with my mom to cover my monthly payment. 400.00 a month for 3 years. That was my rent, so that it how I justified it.Could have bought a brand new car, but I would be big and fat and depressed driving around in a nice car, or I could be thin and happy driving around in a beat up truck.:wink2: I chose the thin happy and beat up truck easily over fat and miserable riding in style!

Here is my "diddy" for the evening! It seems like when I was young I was stupid and thought I was smart and knew it all. Then I got a little older and thought I was smarter, but didn't know it all....I still thought I could do it all! Now I know I'm older, I know I'm smarter, but question the fact "if" I can do it all. Because I'm sooo stuborn, it completes this cycly. Back to knowing I'm not invinsible, but still with a mind set of there is nothing I can't do. So I think maybe I'll just go ahead and just do it! Life is crazy! Love, Kelly:confused:

Well, just got back from my 30 minute walk! I walk so fast it feels like I'm just about to break into a jog. I feel I'm too heavy to actually jog (meaning it wouldn't be real good for my knees etc.) So I just walk as fast as I can:thumbup:! Yesterday when I looked it up, I burned 500 calories, by walking for two 30 minute stretches. I think that gives you quite a little room for calories. Happy Vetrans Day to Everyone! My Grandfather was in WWI My Stepdad was in WWII My real Dad did 4 tour in Vietnam My brother did 8 years in the Army. God Bless All Military!:rolleyes2: That's all for now. ~Kelly~

Advice needed for when to tell family....

Well, I told everyone I knew....And I don't regret it one bit! If they don't like it they can lump it (hahaha)! I think the more people know about this the better, maybe because of you being open about this, maybe, just maybe, someone who also is obese might just consider this option.:rolleyes2:

Well everyone, I went for my second walk today! Yeah!! I was just sitting glued to the comp. and I thought "Hell I am falling asleep, so grabbed my cap and a leash and out the door I went. I did the whole loop, and that gave me a grand total of 60 minutes of walking as fast as I can.:rolleyes2: Phyll~ I also bead I do Indian beading on a loam, plus I'm about 3 mile from a reservation, I grew up and went to school with a lot of them, hell I can even speek some Yokut when I want too! Cheri...thanks for seeing me...hahahahah Charlene, since I am a cowgirl, I have grown up on cw music, and as a matter of fact, the 60's and 70's, and maybe some 50's are my favorites! Goodnight everyone (I'll get to know your names as I go:rolleyes:)! ~Kelly~

Indiogirl, Thanks for your advice, I have thought about the restriction I have. I suppose you are right, that if I'm loosing I shouldn't get a fill, but like I explained in an earlier post, before any fills, I was like the caged lion. Now with two very small fills I feel like a bobcat, I'd like to get to the cat size with my appetite. So I am not couting how long to the next meal. I'm just a little tired of haveing food on the brain 24-7 (well, not when I sleep:wink:). After I eat and I am satiated, I have peace in my brain for a little while....that part feels really good:rolleyes:. I will still think about what you have said, and won't just poo-poo it:biggrin:! ~Kelly~

Morning Everyone! My stew turned out really good! My secret was I poured some left over merlot in, ohhhhh what a flavor. Apples2 I am a cowgirl and I have a boot fetish also ( I just love them, not just cowgirl boots, but dress up boots, guy boots, uggs, rain, snow, any kind of boot). I also get quite jiggy over purses, only I find them in thrift stores...Coach, Fossil, Louis Vutton, American West....I guess you could say I have quit the eye to recognize or spot them. Usually they cost under a dollar. One time I found 2 Louis Vetton bags in one week and they were 50 cents each! O.K. Enough bragging:rolleyes:. Well this morning I had left overs from the two previous nights, so I will try to walk twice today. Also snack on celery, and dill pickles to compensate for the heavy breakfast. Then I will have a salad and stew again tonight for dinner. Thats my plan and I'm sticken to it:wink:. I also plan on washing my moms car for her, you know when you live in the country there is only about 10 minutes after you wash your car that it is actually clean, but the next morning you can see the dust on it:mad:! Oh well, thats life in the country. Well I'll be talking to everyone soon. ~Kelly~

Apples2, I don't think you are being snoopy at all. I did not really have a pre-surgery diet, just 24 hours of liqueds, then my surgery got bumped up unexpectedly:eek:, So I barely had 24 hours of liqueds. I was self-pay. My weight at surgery was 262, and now I'm 224. I have very little restriction so basically I am dieting. It has been tough, and of course I have had my bad days too, but I am determined to do this, and if I am bad I walk it off (literally). I have never really been a "junk-food junkie", but it's the whole volume thing. Picture the lion in the cage pacing back and forth type thing. Plus, I am a journaling fool:cool:! Writting every single thing down, what, when, grams of protien, calories, etc. etc. ~Kelly~

Apples2, Most days I walk 30 min., but lately since I am home all day, I say what the heck I might as well go twice a day, while I can! When school starts Jan.20th....I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit two walks a day in. And since the weather is not too hot any more, I just say what the heck, and try for two times a day. Plus since I have only had two small fills, it allowes me to eat a little bit more! I get my third fill in 2 weeks and am very excited, because I'm sure it will really kick in my weight loss.

Good afternoon everyone, well I just got back from my walk and am having a bite to eat. I was in town this morning, had to take a physical and get a tb test done before I start, I am on a scholarship and I guess it is required. WELCOME, Kelly!! I know EXACTLY where you live!! We have very good friends in Three Rivers that we usually visit twice a year.. .on our way south for the winter and again in the spring when we're headed back home to WA state. In fact, we'll be there for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. Jacki loves to drag me around to all the 2nd hand stores in your area. Have you ever been to "Grandpa's"??? She LOVES that place and I've been there with her several times. She carries "wet ones" in her car so we can clean our hands before we get back in the car when we go there!! LOL! Angelica Huston lives across the street from her and she's been told that "Grandpa's" is HER favorite place to shop, too!! Phyl, if it's a thrift store I have been there, I have been thrift storing it for years! So yes I have been to "Grandpa's". Pretty much from Bakersfield to Fresno there isn't one I haven't hit!:crying: I grew up in Springville and live below it, and it really is very beautiful. Three Rivers and Springville are very similar. Well all I do like this thread and you all are very welcoming! So all for now, I am making stew for dinner tonight it is very crisp out, and that puts me in the mood for a little comfort food (notice I said a little IndioGirl). I shall be talking to you soon! ~Kelly~

I just want to thank you for warmly welcoming me! I write big print, because I am artistic, and I can read it better! I hear some coyotes out my window right now. Back on subject.....glad to find a home. I too absolutely loooooovvvveee Christmas, not for the presents, but for the decorations and the baking(mostly for the decorations).Last year I hung cut out snowflakes from my ceiling so that it resembled the movie "Elf"....then I plastered them all over my windows also. I walked twice today about 50 minutes, and I jogged for five sets of 10 seconds. I think my weenie dog thinks I'm crazy, but I'm going to work it as until I start school Jan. 20th! So glad to found a home thanks so much for welcoming me! Good night all, talk to ya tomorrow! ~Kelly~

Hello All~ Well Apples invited me to join you folks over here, and I am taking her up on it. Sounds like you folks have been friends a long time! My name is Kelly I am 49 and 1/2 years old, and next year I'll be 48:thumbup:! I live in California, in the foothills of the Sequoia National Park. Lots of cattle ranches and orange groves, then just 20 minutes up the hill are pine trees, and snow.I have lived up here and grown up on a ranch. A small one, with lots horses and sheep, cows, etc, etc. Now i live on a country road, in a little secluded spot with my mother. She is retired and I am starting school to become a cna in Jan. I'm almost 14 weeks with my band, and have never been happier. The main reason is I'm not "starving all the time" Makes a huge difference when you are not thinking "when do I get to eat next?" I have had two small fills, and go for my third fill in two weeks. At first it bugged me how long everything took, but then after my second tiny fill, and averaging 10 pounds a month, I kinda quieted down and decided I totally cool with how I am doing! Well, time for my morning walk, I take my little weiny dog "Sophie",and she has to trot the whole way! Take care, ~Kelly~
  19. O.k. I am wondering if in the course of a day it is better to eat three meals, two meals or just have one big meal. I mean daily caloric intake is daily caloric intake.....What does everyone think?

  25. Do you exercise? Once i commited to walking a really brisk pace everyday, sometimes twice (if I want cocktails) for 30 minutes,it really kicked in the pounds coming off.
