Kathy--Glad to hear all went well! Have a safe trip! One word of advice for Band-buddies who just had their second fill...I have found that this fill has changed what I can eat more than how much I can eat. Until this fill I was able to anything I wanted, just had to watch the amount. Now, I really have to make good decisions. Yesterday I had cucumbers and 5 triscut crackers for a snack--ya, not a good decision! They got really stuck--ouch! I guess we all have to find out what works for us...right now I know eggs, chicken nuggets and triscuts are out for me!

Lyn--to place your ticker, click on "edit options" on the side bar of this page, then click "edit signiture". Copy and past your weight loss bar in the area that you want it to appear. It might take a minute, but it should show up. With this website, you don't have to copy the actual code, you can just copy the picture of the graft...I hope you can understand this...It is 4am and I am on break at work!

KT--My fill has really settled down, and I hope yours does too. You might want to stick with mushie for a few days, and then try the solids. Maybe by then you would be able to handle real food. Good luck!

Kathy, 10am works fine. I will just sleep when I get back home! Glad you said something about socks...my kids live in crocs, so socks would have been the last thing from my mind!!!

First problem...
I agree that your bro seems to be both a little jealous and maybe his reaction to you doing something about your weight problem, forces him to address the issues he has with his own weight. It is not easy to decide who to share you feelings with. And to take a backlash from your brother, makes it even harder to handle. Remember why this is important to you, and try to let all of the negative stuff roll off your shoulders. You are very lucky to have a great family to support your decision and stick up for you when your brother started on your case. Good luck!

Would you get breast implant.....??
I am about 75% sure I am going to need a lift, but I am praying I don't need implants. I started this journey at a DD, I am a D now, but it has been since high school since I was at my goal weight. I am not sure what nursing two children is going to have done with my body. I think as long as I am a full B cup, I would not get the implants. I also fear the long term complications of implants, so I am going to just have to wait and see!

Ha ha! I meant that 40 lbs will not break the bank...unlike someone who needs to purchase enough stuff to replace a small adult!!!

Ok ladies, I work the night before but I think we can make it by 10 am. Just don't mind my hair and dark circles under my eyes :-) I am thinking that since I am only going to need about 40 lbs, I might do juice. I am putting it into my planner right now...yah!

Sue--It would be terrible if I was hungry, but I honestly have not felt hunger since this last fill. I know that the fills tend to relax a little after a while, and I am fine with that...but as for right now, I am a happy camper!!! I also felt something yesterday for the first time...I have read about "the wrong foods going down easily" and people eating "around" the band, and after dinner last night I know what they mean. We went to a local place and I ordered the pulled pork sandwitch. My plan was to eat half of the meat (no bread) and the 2 or 3 tablespoons of coleslaw that came with it. I knew I needed extra Bar-b-que sauce, so I got it to dunk my meat with, and started very slowly. I ate about 5 small bites of the pork and my DH said "Are you ok". I told him I was going to take a break and eat my slaw...the few bites of slaw when down very easily. I thought hmmmm, I will try the pork again...and it was a little more pressure than before. I finished my slaw and stole a fry from my DH, all without any pressure. I took one last bite of pork and deciede to call it a nite. No nausea, slime, PB...but pressure. I boxed up the rest of my meat (more than 3/4 of it) and headed to the park with the kids... I was so excited to see how I can still eat out and not feel like I need to undo my zipper on the way to the car! I understand how easily the coleslaw and fry went down and how people might just skip the protein...but that would not be using this amazing blessing to its full potential! I feel so lucky right now! I need to remember this feeling when negative thoughts start to creep into my head! Sorry this post is sooo long. Have a great Monday guys!

Sue--when I was unable to eat the scrambled eggs I was not really hungry. I just new I was going to have a physical day of working in the yard, so I though I should eat some protein. When it felt stuck at noon, I was still not really hungry, just wanted to test the band and see how tight it was. The "stuck" feeling I had was not really a pain, more like a pressure. It felt a little like someone was sitting on my chest. The slime that I had was not as thick as I thought it would be, it was just mouth-fulls of saliva. After I spit them out, I was fine, nothing else came up and the pressure was gone! I had only had a few bites of egg, so maybe the pressure/slime would have been worse if it was something more solid or if I would have ate more of it...who knows?I never felt hungry at all yesterday--although I was able to eat a banana, protein bar and strawberries yesterday without any trouble. Today I am going to try to eat some meat and see how that goes... Kathy--June 10th will be here before you know it! It is amazing to see the effect of 2 cc's...I hope Dr Miller is as aggressive as Dr Choban. (although, MidOhio seems to follow the lapband guidelines to a T)

Kathy--I have a total of 6.5cc in my 14cc band...and HOLY COW!!! I could tell the first two day of liquids and muchies that there was "something" there. I had not really felt the band before this. So this am I tried scrambled eggs--no way. Not going anywhere...so I waited a few hours (I have heard that mornings can be a little tighter) and tried again around noon...I took three bites and knew I had to stop. I got up and jumped in the car to head to Lowes...and had to run back into the house to go to the bathroom. I never threw up, but I know what the "slime" thang is now! I felt better after about a minute and was able to go about my shopping. I am getting ready to try something else for lunch...something a little less dry! I let you know how it goes...but for now, I am learning a ton about my band!

I'm Baaaaaaaaaack! Had another great/quick visit with Dr Choban. She is the most amazing doctor I have been around (and I have seen a ton). She was pleased with my 6 lbs wt loss. I, on the other hand, was a little embarassed. I told her about my dinner problems, and she was supportive. Suggested finishing my protein first (before I eat 2 rolls, ya, I was completely honest) and get up and walk before I make the decision to eat them. She was glad to hear that I attended the emotional support group and said that the band fixes the hungry feeling, but the head hunger is something the support group will help with. All in all, nothing I have not heard before, just good to hear again. She gave me two more cc's. I was pleased with that. oh, and she is going on vacation (how dare she???lol) so my next fill is not until July 27th. Yikes, that seems so far away, but I am ok with it....atleast today I am...we will see what July brings!
