I agree with you Kathy! As easy as it is to get all caught up in our daily progression, we need to remember the big picture. Yes, we might have ate more than we should have at one meal...but it is just that...ONE meal. Look at where were are today and where we started from! That is something we ALL can be happy about!

Hello everyone! I am glad to see we have a few new friends that have joined us over the last few days! Welcome!!! This is the place we all find love and support during our journey! Please let me know if I can help you with anything! I am proud to announce that I have felt restriction on two occasions!!! Yahoo! It was not a typical "full" feeling, but I was eating some cheese the other day with crackers and I felt like the cheese was VERY slow going down. I had to stop for a minute and take a deep breath. The other time was eggs and toast this am. I am not sure if the toast was too dry, but I had to take a pause while eating again. I was still hungry with both of these cases so I was able to finish without any trouble. Was this the right thing to do? Should I have stopped with the first sign of restriction even if I was hungry? Just trying to figure this thang out...

Special K--I think you might have heard wrong...Melissa told me that I was the "biggest loser" of the day, and I only lost 27lbs by their scales. AND, I am a week ahead of you, AND I have been exercising for three weeks! SO, you are doing much better than you think. It is funny how our "head" hears what it wants to. Melissa also said that I should call for the emotional eating support group. I am going to do that today. If I don't fix that prob I will never get anywhere!

special k--I can't imagin Melissa being disappointed with your weight. I think 18 lbs in 6 weeks sound good to me! Besides, you have added exercise into the mix now, so things will only get better from here!!!

We just got our work schedule and I am working the night of the 9th and 10th. Usually I would sleep the day of the 10th (go figure, I have a hard time working being up for 3 days straight) but I really want to go the the meeting...I will have to figure something out I guess. Juli--the 11, 14, and 15 all work for me if you want to try to get together! Does your DD have school that week?

Good morning! I was wondering if any of my Fill Friends felt restriction the morning? I was told that this morning might be a little tight, but I didn't feel anything. I guess I will need a few fills before my sweet spot. Hope all is well with everone!

Hey guys! I am reporting back after my first fill. I was told that I have thick skin, Melissa had a hard time getting the lidocane to push. I told her that I was willing to do it without the lidocane, but she said it was just as much for her as it was for me. :-) I was down 27 lbs by their scale, and Melissa was very happy to see that. I also have the AP large band and had 4.5 cc placed. I feel like I might have a little restriction after drinking that water, but who knows...at this point I am really hungry and am going to make some dinner. Kathy--can't wait to see the pic! I think it is great that they let you do that! Sarah--I am longing for that kind of restriction! I think that sounds great. I would just make sure you are eating some kind of sauce with the stuff that is giving you trouble. I have heard that can help things go/stay down. It was great to meet you Greg and KTBUGG! I hope you didn't have to wait much longer, Greg. I know you were getting restless. KT--how are you doing??? Did they think it was a leak? n.

Hey Fill Friends!!! Tomorrow is our day! I am really excited. I am going to ask Melissa or Dr. C to "fill 'er on up" so I can get my head back in this game! I have two NSVs this weekend. Sat night I went to a bacholorette party for my BFF and wore something sexy. LOL. It was a sleveless shirt I had in my closet, but I haven't warn it in two years. The first thing she said to me was "wow, holy boobies" (I had not seen her since surgery) I guess my waist is shrinking and now there is definition between it and "the girls". The other NSV was yesterday at Kings Island. I found that I fit in the Kiddy rides much easier this year! The only one I still have a problem with is the Plankton's Plunge. The bars would not fit over "the girls" so my DD had to ride with someone else. I hate that my weight problem hold her back, but I promised that by the end of the summer, I would ride it with her! Hope everyone is having a great Monday! n.

Tyanna, I just found out that opening day for my kids TBall is the 3rd. They moved it up a week, so I am not going to be able to join you. Sorry! Good luck and have a fun time!

Good luck Sarah! I work the next two nights, and I tend to do better when I am there. Do you find that is true for you? I hope this is going to jump start my motivation again. I really think missing the last get together also played a part in my spirits...I always feel so motivated after spending time with the group!

Well guys, I am still here...and still eating like I have never been banded. I told my mom yesterday that this is the point of a diet when I usually cave in (7 or 8 weeks) and I just thought that this time it was going to be different. I am proud of all of my fellow marchers for doing so well...I just wish I was feeling as good about myself as I was last week! TM--good luck today! I am so excited that you are crossing things off of your pre-band list so quickly this time!!!

I love the suit that I got from Juli at our first meeting, but as much as we live at that pool, another suit would be wonderful! (that is if no one else needs it) I don't want to be a clothes hog! :0)

LapBand found my cancer
Carol, I knew when we met that you had a special light about you that people are drawn to. You are so caring and fun to talk to, that strangers instantly feel like life-long friends! I am so proud of you for staying strong and fighting your way back to here... now...cancer free and taking the proactive road of banding! I know this is the beginning of an amazing journey and friendship! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, n.

Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?
Well guys...I did it! I started c25k today! I never thought that 60 sec could kick my butt so much, but it DID! It was much harder than I thought, but I managed! I tried to keep my jogging at 5 mph and walking at 3.5mph, but at time it was 4.7-3.2. either way, I felt awesome when I was done!!! My heart rate was in the 170's and it felt so good! I am planning on doing it again tomorrow, so I will let ya know! Wow Whosya, how exciting? Did someone do it with you, or did you run alone? Either way, congrats!!! BigBaby, sorry for your loss!
