  1. I had my first fill today and it took quite awhile to find my port. Fortunately I had been numbed with lydocaine (sp?) first so I only felt pressure but I am really sore this afternoon and I'm still bleeding some, they had to go in through one of my incisions.

  2. I was banded on June 30th and I have my first fill next week. Since I got my band I have lost 15lbs (30 total from pre surgery), but I am eating way more than I'm supposed to too, I'm sure. I am always hungry but I am losing weight because when I feel hungry I start sucking down the Water. I am probably taking in too much Water, I'm constantly drinking so I feel full because I am always hungry. I hope my doc goes ahead with the fill since I have no restriction either.

  3. I was banded 6/30 so it's only been three weeks but I feel nothing! I can't find my port, don't feel my band at all and feel no restriction. I have had no BP and can eat pretty much whatever. I'm on soft foods but I am doing fine with whatever I eat. Will I be able to feel anything at my first fill? I have a 10CC band, any idea how much the doc will fill it?

  4. I was banded on 6/30/10 and I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter with special needs. She does not walk and weighs 26lbs. I was very concerned about this! My doc told me no lifting for two weeks. Well, there were times about day 8 that I had no one else at home with me so I had to pick her up. I had no problems. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since surgery and I feel no pain or discomfort at all.

  5. I was banded on June 30th and I have had no problems. However, when I eat I can eat more than what I'm supposed to. How long until I will start to feel restriction? My first fill is Aug. 3rd so I'm assuming it will at least be then or after another fill. I am losing weight so I'm happy about that but I know myself, if I can eat more I will!:unsure:

  6. :redface:I have been on Optifast since the 15th, surgery is on the 30th. I have to have six shakes per day. They aren't bad, just the strawberry is hard for me to take. I just put it in a cup so I can get it down faster. All the others I drink straight from the box. I hate Jello so that's out. I've had a couple bowls of broth when I felt I needed food. Whenever I'm hungry fortunately it's time for a shake. I am sick of them but I am taking this very seriously so no cheating for me. I will once again taste food!
