I too have PCOS and am weeks away from being one year post surgery. Aside from my 65 pound loss, my other victory is that I have had my period every month for the last 5 months and that has NEVER happened in my adult life....so I am praying that a baby is next to come! Good luck!

That is fantastic progress! Keep up the good work!

We were banded the same week and you have earned the title of my Lapband Hero...congrats on such a great milestone! I'm right behind you...

You have to stay encouraged and realize that it will happen when its time. I havent had any miscarrages but my husband I have been trying without any luck so keep your head up and try to stay positive...it will happen!

I made three months on 10/26 and so far so good I suppose. I am 25 pounds down and the last month has been tough. I only have alittle restriction so like you said its a slow process. I realize I need to get focused in the gym and it might help to speed the process along.
Good luck fellow July bandster!

good luck! I am waiting for my sweet spot too and go back on 10/29, hopefully this will be it!

I was banded on 7/26 and I guess I don't feel so bad...I have had 4 fills, totaling to 7.5 in a 14cc band and I can still eat whatever I please. I do have to chew thoroughly to avoid getting food stuck but I am not full on 4oz. I go back on Friday and I hope this will get me to "the level".

Your weight loss is fantastic and you are looking great! Keep up the good work buddy!

I did track inches and I have lost 4 inches from my stomach and like 2 from my bust and hips.

Isnt it such a fantastic feeling??? Enjoy it and take more photos!!

My surgery was on a Monday and I went back to work the following week. I don't have to do alot of walking at work so I felt ready to return.
Thanks for the positive comments!

I have been banded a little over 2 months and have lost 22 pounds to date. Although I am thrilled at the number, I have been discouraged at the fact that the scale has only moved 3-4 pounds in the past 4 weeks. I stumbled upon a picture at my friends babyshower, which was taken 2 weeks before my surgery and HOLY COW, I have my first NSV!!!:smile2:

You look great!

I like icecream too and so I say...don't keep it in the house and buy smaller sizes, like a pint instead of a gallon and make sure you only have one serving size at a time.
And lets take it past Monday and say no icecream until we lose 5 pounds??

Congrats on your progress so far...I was banded a few days before you and I too get my first fill next week!
24 pounds is fantastic weight loss...keep the pounds coming off!

I too have PCOS and love to hear about successful pregnancies after lapband...

Yes, I was given some meds and I hope they work!

Molly, I am excited and jealous for you and your fill!! I don't get mine for another 2 weeks and change but look forward to hearing how you progress now that its "on".
When do you go back for your next fill?

Here I am almost 4 weeks out and experienced the worst joint pain EVER in my big toe this week, leading up to me seeing my PCP and being told that I was experiencing a Gout attack. I am still unsure if this has anything to do with the lap band surgery or my current diet of mushies, which has been mostly fish and greens for the past 2 weeks.
Has this happened to anyone after having the lap band?

I too am on week 3 and started mushies last week but found that the scale is moving slowly but in the right direction. I think its because I think I wasnt getting enough calories on the liquid diet because I hated the shakes and so my body was on strike. Now that I am eating fish, Soups and soft veggies...I eat very little but take in more calories and add a few days at the gym on the treadmill and its working.
Give your body a few days to adjust to the change in diet.

Bypass wasnt an option for me because of the possible side effects and rapid weight loss. I chose the band because of the fact that you lose weight slowly and you have the choice to make it work for you.
Its been 3 weeks since surgery and I am not disappointed. I have lost 21 pounds in 4 weeks and I know it would not have happened without the band.
Good luck on your decision!

I feel your pain! I finally left the full liquids phase and am onto the mushies! Life is great because now I can have Protein, veggies and fruit and its okay to have low fat yogurt and sugar free pudding. Its only been 2 days since I started these foods but I feel so much better. I am not keen on blending my meats and so since you dont have to puree fish, that is what I have been eating and its sooooo yummy. I find that after eating 4 oz of fish and 1/4 cup of veggies, I am full. I dont know why or how but I hope this keeps up until my first fill, which is over a month away!
I agree with previous posters, call your doctor and ask to progress to the next step early..I did and they let me start 3 days early.

I have PCOS and my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 4 years. I finally decided that the doctors were right and that I should try and shed some pounds and I had lapband surgery on 7.26.10...here I am a year and half later and we found out that WE ARE PREGNANCT!!! It was and is a total shock and I feel so blessed...I am 7 weeks and on top of the world!
Oh and the best part is that I am due 7.26.12- my two year band anniversary.
Keep the faith ladies!!!
