  1. :tongue:they are small cause they are from my cell phone.
  2. Sorry I havent posted in awhile. I was very busy this last couple weeks. So no change in the scale a bit frustrating. However i have been hiking a lot 2-3 times a week and my cloths are starting to fall off of me. Its teaching me not to watch the scale to pay attention to my body and the changes its making it much more rewarding to feel sexy in my cloths then to worry about the scale. So hiking is my new found passion my girlfriend and our kids do it together and it has been such an amazing experience :tt2: The feeling of a great work out and accomplishment when you stand at the top of the mountain and look down it is breath taking. Just bought new hiking shoes and a fanny pack ready to take on new mountains. With each mountain I climb its one more step towards my goal.

So Its great to be back to work. Im tired though working 0530-1400. So the biggest challenge was to find what would be good to eat for lunch and breakfast at work.. I bring my own oatmeal and that works. Lunch is harder but im lucky theres a subway in my building and they sell you just the meat and cheese and veggies very yummy!!! any suggestions on easy lunches?

So for my workout today i painted my house for 6 hours.. let me tell you thats a work out.. Almost forgot to eat.. I drank a protein shake for dinner to keep my energy going!! but the house looks great and maybe i shaved a inch off of something working so hard!! LOL!!! So i ate sausage yesterday, didnt really go down well felt like it didnt want to move so of course I stopped eating it but thats my first expierence with something not agreeing with my band.. Trail and error is the game.. Im having fun figuring it out.. How about everyone else? Hope all is going well.

Thank you !! I know sometimes eating protein keeps you full longer. I go four hours between each meal and drink in between alot and that keeps me full.

So i skipped my work out yesterday cause I cleaned my house for 8 hrs im sore today more then any of my work out!! LOL... So eating is going well.. NO food stuck or bad experiences yet. I really stick to the no more then one cup and depending on what it is i can not even eat that.. I think the huge key to my success right now is listening to my body and stopping when it says.. Eating slow has allowed me to know when to stop make what ever your eating last 20-30 mins.
  14. So I went and had sushi and I took one bite with the rice ate the center and threw the rest away now if you really like one roll tell the owner cause i like the spicey crab roll and they said they would serve me a plate of just the filling since its hard for me.. its worth a shot..
  15. My doctors told me to walk an 15 mins an hour if i wasnt sleeping to get the gas from the surgery out.. if you feel in pain in your shoulders or neck the gas is moving walking takes it all away.. Congrats again on your surgery..

  18. So my girlfriend and i are both banded we always start with an order of sashmi we love salmon. then we ordered one roll and pick at a little and some times take the top layer off and eat the middle.. my gf can eat the rice no problem however i cant .. for a special occasion i will eat a roll but to be on the lap band plan as they say we should stay away from white rice. my doctors says if i eat pasta or rice just make sure its whole wheat. But for me i love sushi i crave all the time so i talked to my resturant and the said they will give me a plate of just the filling since hard for me so talk to them they make work with you.. Good luck on your journey it will be awesome.
  19. So everything is going smooth.. Im eating real food... thank goodness.... a week earlier then planned but i healed well and under cup keeps full for 4hrs.. So to me thats a sign the band is working yay!!!! So im down 36 lbs.. and feeling better i have now lost more then 10 % of my weight.. what a difference.. My doctor wont realease me to work till the 25th of july that will be 4 weeks.. i feel so good i wish i could work right now. But my job wont let me go back till the doctor release me... So I have been working out alot.. walking, hiking etc.. since i have two more weeks i guess im going to take advantage and work out alot and maybe be even a size smaller before i go back to work I will keep you posted on how this goes.. Thankyou to everyone for all your support. :rolleyes2:

  21. Dr Simpson is a very nice man. and a good surgeon my girlfriend went to him and he is very quick and transactional. I needed to hand held thru my journey so i went to Dr Fang and Dr Juarez at st lukes great staff and they help you with the insurance approval the whole way. Another reason I switched is my insurance covered the whole thing no out of pocket and dr simpson office still tried to get me to pay 1000 for after care and that was included in mine..
  22. I put my choclate premier protein shake in my coffee and it tasted really good. I didnt have to add any sugar or creamer or anything.. Though Im on the liquid protein diet pre surgery for two weeks so i cant anyway.. Im down 20 lbs in a week. Can't believe it. I am a bit hungry though..
