    October 2006 Bandsters!

Hey Angels, I'm trying hard to get back into the swing of things. I'm rather disappointed in myself for allowing setbacks to halt my progress but with the help from the October 06 Bandsters I know I can regain the Faith and Hope that I once had when I posted here on a regular basis. It's a struggle for sure and I thought that the band was going to be the answer. And it probably is. It is a great tool if we all use it in the way it was intended. But as far as the answer? It lies amongst us all I believe. All of us keeping each other motivated to do our individual best. I need help and I humbly reach out. I can't do this myself........... Hugs Jimboss

Hey all, It's been such a long time since I've been here. I am struggling terribly bad. My support system is non existant and I have gained so much weight since my surgery nearly two years ago. I'm going to try and visit here more often and see if I can get back on track. It was good to see some names that are familiar and some new ones as well.

Linadu you are so right! At one time my band was all consuming and it was like I was on another diet! But I'm here to share your comments. It isn't like that anymore. I don't think of food like I used to. To coin an old cliche'...I now eat to live instead of living to eat. It seems like a lot of my Angels are struggling but hang in there girls! You got to! Each and everyone of you are important to not only me but each and everyone of us! Y'all can do it! I want to see all of you in two piece bikini's! For me, I am happy and proud to say I've hit 262! I just want to shout it out! I know that my goal is still so very far away but where I started is almost as far away... And like most of you, I've struggled at times. But we need to just keep in mind why we are here. We all know that our band is a tool and we can choose to use it or not. USE IT Angels! Hugs to you all Jimboss

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Hello my Angels! I have been in Kansas all of this past week. The SD State Pen sent me to Parsons Kansas (southeast corner) to a burner factory. I had a great time and learned a lot about some of the burners we use in some of our boilers here. Eat? Man, it was a smorgasborg the entire week. They fed us Prime Rib, Chicken, Beef & Pork ribs, Rib Eye Steaks, and on and on! I did my best but I'm afraid I gained a pound or two last week. But I'm back home and back "on the wagon" again. I've caught up on all the posts I missed and I can only say one thing for sure...I'm glad I do not have a TOM!!!!! I feel for you gals. Geez........... Hey, old Jimboss loves you all and even though most of us did not meet the easter challenge, the important thing is we are losing. Each day is another challenge it seems... whether it is TOM, or head hunger, or PB's, or surgery's, or lifes everyday frustrations. But the good news is we all have this special tool that has been put in us and it is there for us. It isn't easy but most good things in life aren't. Keep up the good work Angels! Hugs as always...~ Jimboss ~

I missed the Easter Challenge as well.........bummer. But I did lose and that is my silver lining! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We are still trying to get moved. Carpet layers come today and a french door is being delivered a little later. I may have to play hookie from work on Wednesday and try to knock this job out. Moving sucks. I wish I could afford to just hire movers...fly to Cancun, and when I came home it would all be done. And our next challenge is? ~ Jimboss ~

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Good Morning Angels! I wanted y'all to be the first to know...I broke the 270 barrier! I stepped on the scale this morning and damned if I wasn't at 269!! And I thought I was at a plateau! Now if it can just keep dropping.....whew. Raynie, it looks like you got something going with this clothes swap thing. Much to my dismay, I probably won't be able to participate! Unless of course I would consider cross-dressing. LOL. I did that once when my wife and I were first married. She insisted that I put on a blouse, skirt, and panty hose for her entertainment! Geez.......... What an embarassment that was. If the guys at work could have seen me (yes, I had on make up as well). And by the way, I didn't make a very good looking woman. I was more of an old broad....(Janet Reno?). I can't believe I just told you girls this! But it's true...old Jimboss was in drag one time. And if I remember correctly, it did lead to an awesome evening with my young bride! Well y'all have a great weekend and a great Easter! We are going to do some Easter Bunny stuff with the grand daughters. And that is good. I'm tired of moving! It will be a good, refreshing break. Next stop....the 250's! Hugs to all my October Bandster Angels! ~ Jimboss ~

Thats right Raynie...you're an October Bandster for life! You can check in but you can't check out (sort of a Hotel California type deal)! I've read some posts in other threads from people who have met their goal weight and they continue to post and they seem to be really good inspirationalists and motivators. I seem to be doing ok. I've had four fills and it seems my weight loss has found a plateau to sit on for awhile. I still have restriction and I'm not eating all that much but the weight is stuck! But I'm positive it will start dropping again. It has to. My life depends on it! Hey, Happy Easter to all of my Bandster Angels! Eat an Easter Egg...just stay away from the chocolate ones! Geez...........and their my favorite. sigh.......... Hugs ~ Jimboss ~

Raynie darlin........tan all you want! I'm no expert but I'd be willing to bet Jessica's next paycheck that tanning is not going to hurt your band! LOL. You're a sweety. The mail is coming. Hang in there! ~ Jimboss ~

Shirley, it sounds like your knee is definetly getting better although you still have soreness. Hopefully that will go away in the near future. As far as the Gym goes....$105 for three months really don't sound too bad I don't think. That would be only $35 per month and most of the fitness joints around here are more than that. Even the YMCA here is upwards of $50 per month. And also, you are obviously used to that Gym already so you know the layout and what is available. In addition to that, your trainer you've been using is available....I don't know but it sounds cool to me. What's the normal non-discounted price? Good luck and take care of that knee! Hugs........Jimboss
