  1. This has been a long struggle for me too. I have hypothyroidism, and almost have had my band for 2 yrs, and have only lost 25lbs. I'm not sure if my thyroid has as much to do with my small weight loss as my being a poor bandster does...will never give up though!
  2. Congrats! You're doing great. After six months, I'm still stuck @ my weight of 239. Started @ 265. But weight lost is weight lost! I just think I need to get remotivated. And maybe another fill.
  3. Cooking, cooking, cooking. Really going to try hard to only eat dinner on a small salad plate. I can eat anything at this point. I don't know if that's a burden or a blessing?!
  4. I also lost about 13 pounds my first week. Now that I'm on soft foods, my weight loss has slowed down dramatically. I also don't think I have too much resriction, because I can drink quite a bit, quite fast, and eat about a cup or more of food. I'm almost 4wks post op. But I don't stay full for very long, only a few hrs. Even tho I don't drink @ all with meals, and I'm eating good quality protien first. Anyone have any help for me? I'm still waiting to get a fill on the 30th. But this hunger is just killing me. Do the fills help?
  5. If u buy a big portion, try freezing half or more of it. What helps me with my sweet tooth cravings is sipping on sugar free coolaid. Or just buy a smal single serving of something.
  6. Walk everywhere in ur house. Walk circles around ur coffee table if u have to! It helps tremendously.
  7. The first couple days for me was a lil rough. I was definetly sore, had absolutely no energy, and had to struggle just to stay hydrated. Sleeping was interesting to say the least. I never had any gas, because right after my surgery, I walked and walked my life away. Just take things slow, have people help u w/ stuff, and you'll be fine! And remember to take ur meds. When ur not in pain, ur body can heal faster!
  8. I was banded may 17th. Since surgery, I've lost 18lbs. Weight loss has definetly slowed down since staring soft solid foods. I'm hoping to get my first fill june 30th! But so far so good! Haven't thrown up, or had any nausea. Having a lil trouble with cravings tho. I have a major sweet tooth. So, anything sweet is a temptation for me. Also, need to start working out too,to speed up weight loss. Other than I'm Doing, and healing great. My surgeon was awesome.
