  1. Also...I don't get the new forum layout. AT. ALL.
  2. I go tomorrow morning to the dietitian. I haven't heard anything about a pre-op diet either. Unless she'll tell me tomorrow. When I met with the surgeon a couple weeks ago, he didn't tell me to change anything. Weird. I've also had all my testing done last Friday, so maybe the dietitian will tell me to do a diet tomorrow.
  3. I would go ahead and get the fill when you can. I'm partial though because I'm not a huge fan of the Thanksgiving dinner (sucks having a birthday in late November and always having turkey and pumpkin pie for your bday dinner, lol).

    Bodybugg users report here!

Funny!! I was just looking for this thread to say I purchased one. I'm being proactive. Getting banded on the 8th and hopefully will have my bugg before that. I got the one that is compatible with the Android phones. It was $219 and it's $10 a month. Or only $50 for 6 months, or $80 for 12 if you buy them months in bulk. It comes with 6 months free though. :blushing:

Women with pcos and lap band

I know there's a sub forum here for women with PCOS but it's pretty quiet. If I was helpful at all, I would have grabbed the link to it before posting..but I didn't. :blushing: I've heard that a lot of women with PCOS, once they drop some weight, have better luck conceiving. It happened to me on one of my 100lb losses before.

What birth control should I use?

Nuva ring here too. Even though I take my thyroid pills every morning I'm scared poopless about missing a BC pill for whatever reason. I've had really no issues with it. I too have a reminder on my phone and on my calendar in the kitchen. The only thing I would say if you're thinking about doing the Nuva ring is make sure you store them in the fridge. My friend's brother now has a baby because his girlfriend didn't store her's in the fridge. Yeah....

    Fanny

My boyfriend has a Boston Terrier...well she's mine now too since we live together...and I swear she's the best dog ever. So smart and OMG what an actress, she knows how to put the sad face on when she wants something. Miss Fanny is ADORABLE!!!!!
  9. I'm the 8th too!!! lol. I go on the 19th to have all my pre-op testing done and I meet with the nutritionist that day. I haven't heard anything about a pre-op diet yet though. Guess I'll find out that Friday

    Christmas Challenge

I won't be banded until the 8th of December, but I would love to get in on this. I'd like to lose 10lbs by the end of the challenge. (I'm setting the bar low for me as I have a really bad problem with beating myself up if I don't get to where I wanted to be, lol.) good luck everyone!
  11. I just watched the episode, Mona. I'm so glad you're back and track and looking good kid. Thank you for sharing so much personal info about yourself. You inspire and keep it up!
  12. She's a member here and started a thread about her episode. I think maybe you should read her thread......
  13. I'm looking forward to your episode tonight. I'll thank you in advance for sharing your story, however revealing it may be. Continued success in your recovery!
  14. I was tentatively scheduled for Nov 23rd but I got the call yesterday that it is most definitely going to be December 8th. Now I'm set in stone!!! My birthday is Nov 20th so I was hoping to get it done sooner, but I'm not going to complain!! Good luck all!
  15. I was tentatively scheduled for Nov 23rd, just got the call yesterday that it is for sure December 8th. So I'm going to take my butt on over to the December thread, but wish all you November bandsters the BEST of luck!!! Can't wait to follow up on all your progress. !!

    Election Issues

I'm overwhelmed this morning as well. People truly have selective short term memories. Can't wait to see the Repubs "fix" everything. They freaking broke it, they should "fix" it. I won't be holding my breath though. UGH, so disappointed today.
  17. Congrats on what seems like a smooth procedure, abraxasbear!! I really just wanted to post in this thread so I get notifications, AND so I can update later after my surgery!! Good luck everyone!!
  18. This is me as well. My deductible is met and I wanted things to get done before the end of the year. I have no stipulations, and UHC took approximately 9 days to approve. It was submitted on the 18th of October, the letter of approval is dated the 27th. Good luck!
  19. I'll be at Aurora Sinai up in Milwaukee. I was referred to Dr. Chua through my primary care doctor. How about you?
  20. Ugh!!! Lol, I have political ads. I don't know which is worse!!! I'm just north of Chicago and being banded (tentatively) the 23rd of November. Looks like we're close!!
  21. Here's hoping that everyone who had surgery today is well on their way to recovering!! You all are in my thoughts and I can't wait for it to be my day!!
  22. I use electronic cigarettes (my boyfriend and I have been analog cigarette free since January) and I plan on buying the juice (you use a vegetable glycerin with baking flavors for the electronic cigarette) with zero nicotine in it. I just like the flavor of it. Like right now, I'm vaping Banana Cream...it tastes just like the banana Runts. YUMMMM.

    Drinking during meals

Thanks for the responses, ladies!! It's good to know that I'll be able to get my fluids in! :sneaky:
  24. Good news bad news for me. Good news: I am officially approved, thank you God. Bad news: My tentative schedule date of Nov 23rd MAY get pushed to December. I'm not too bummed if I have to wait a little longer, it's a HUUUUGE reassurance knowing that it's approved and I won't have to fight anything. Happy Friday Eve !!!!!

    Drinking during meals

Lol, thank you for responding, I honestly knew the answer probably wasn't going to sway the way I wanted it to. I really need to start to get a handle on this then so it's not such a shock to me when I NEED to be complying with the no-gulping rules. :w00t:
