    BCBS insurance

I have BCBS in PA and I had all the general requirements BMI 40 or more, 6 month diet, shrink, and some other tests once it was all done, i was approved on the first try within 24 hours.
  4. Are there any pieces of wisdom you wish you'd known before surgery that would have made post surgery life a little easier???

    Any June Bandsters???

Just got my date of June 15th. Excited but nervous at the same time.
  6. Thanks everyone! all the advice is great and very helpful. I hope I can get my date this week.
  7. THANKS! I went for my echocardiogram (SPelling???) on friday and get the results tomorrow. I have never had problems with my heart but becasue I took Phen-Phen 8 years ago for about 1 month they said I have to get the test. Oh well at least I will know if my heart is healthy
  8. Thanks everyone! Very helpful. I just got my approval yesterday and now I found out that I have to have cardic clearance. Feels like one foot forward and several backwards these days. Anxious to get started . . . .
  9. I just received my approval from my insurance company today. I was excited and called my DH. He was not so excited. When I asked why the change . . . he said that he didn't think I would get the approval and he doesn't want me to go through with it. He says i'm fine the way I am. Very sweet to say but I am not comfortable in my own body and feel limited to what I can do physically. He said he is worried about the complications and risks. I tried to explain that I am having the lap band and not the bypass. I explained that the lap band is safer and has less risks. Does anyone know of any literature/websites that I can show him to support this? thanks
  10. submitted on Tuesday morning and I received a call from my Surgen's office the next day around 2pm. I was so surprised that it was that quick.

    Night before surgery

Good luck to you tomorrow. . . I can relate to how you feel. I just got my approval today and now I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Once it really seems real, emotions take over. Look at this as a new road to a new you! Follow what the dr's say and you will be skinny in no time.
