    Hi all-
     
    I am 6 days post op and I have had to go and see my surgeon to get antibiotics because my incision is draining and oozing. I am in severe pain in the area.
     
    I keep reading about horror stories with the lap band now after I got the band. For some reason the only stories I came across before surgery were all success stories.
     
    I am terrified that there is something wrong because I mean I feel just as bad today as I did the day I got the band. My dr says that I should be ok but he could not give me a 100% guarantee which is understandable. I just keep thinking now that maybe I made a mistake.
     
    Someone please help me I am an emotional wreck....all I do is cry all day long. :eek:

    Help I'm scared

    Hi all-
     
    Surgery for me is on June 3rd and I am getting afraid. I was actually thinking about cancelling it today. Is this a good decision ? In a year from now will I be glad that I made this decision?
     
    Please help anyone out there.
     
    Will I every be able to go in a restaurant and have dinner with my husband again ? Or will I always feel ostracized like I did all day yesterday at the Memorial day cook outs?:frown:

    Protein drinks

    I discovered that I really like the Strawberries and Cream Muscle milk. I am struggling today because I know that it will be weeks before I will be able to have food again. I guess it really is a mind thing.

    Hi all-
     
    I was banded on 6/3/10 and wow I did not really know what to expect after surgery but I am hurting around the port area mostly. I can only drink a little bit before I feel this tightness in my throat/chest .
     
    Is that when I have drank too much ? I am real careful to sip, sip, sip and not drink.
     
    I lost 18 lbs total since 5/23/10, I am definitely happy about that.
     
    So I get to try pureed foods Thursday so I am going to the friut/veggie market tomorrow after my visit with the nutritionist.
     
    I have to see the surgeon today because I have some drainage from my incision at the port. Did anyone else have this problem ?:eek:
