  1. I am at goal now and my doctor said some do get a slight unfill. I want to go further below goal so mine is still tighter. I dont know if I want an unfill, I am too scared of gaining.
  2. My port feels like it moved too but I think it is because of the deflated skin after losing 112 pounds. If it bothers you have it checked.
  3. I have 7 tattoos and they all but 1 look way better on my skinny body. They seem bigger now. Lol! But the four leaf clover near my heart on top of breast is not in good shape. Lol!
  4. Congratulations! I had my surgery May 25 last year. I am at goal now. I love my band!
  5. I am right there with you jen. I have been this size before but I definitely have more attitude this time around! And I have been buying $100 designer jeans like crazy! No more ponytails for me, I have been straightening my hair and wearing it down. I think after all we have been through and all the hard work it is okay for us to be this way.
  6. I can have caffeine but never carbonation. It is easy to follow that rule because I don't want to mess up my surgery. And pop was my addiction and I am so glad I got over it. Every once in a while I do miss it for a few seconds. I had to change from diet coke and vanilla vodkas to cranberry juice and vodka.
  7. I have been getting nauseous since getting my tightened as well. I just have to slow down and eat less.
  8. I have open face sandwich with 1 piece of whole wheat bread or triscuts. I also put tuna on lettuce with hard boiled egg, some cheese and western lite dressing.
  9. My doctor has a program on her computer that figures out a reasonable goal weight. She told me obese people have denser bones as someone else mentioned so their idea of goal weight is about 30 pounds higher than the insurance charts. She wanted me at 169 and I said no 160. I am now 149 and very happy. Make a goal and then see how you feel, you can always change it up or down.
  10. Congratulations and welcome to bandland. I hope your stay is as nice as mine has been. Lol!
  11. I agree with all the posts here. For me I have been avoiding whites as well. I loved potatoes, bread and noodles before band and hardly ate protein and it seemed like I never had energy and I would just end up more hungry and crave more carbs. Since banding and really limiting these things I have had amazing weight loss and energy and dont crave things as much anymore. You need to test your body and see what combination works best for you and your weight loss. Good luck! I love being banded!
  12. I did that too. Ate things I knew I would really have to limit after surgery. But almost a year later and at goal I don't miss those foods, I like my designer jeans in size 4 better. Good luck 7
  13. Now that is really funny. Happy Anniversary! Lol
  14. I am 10 1/2 months out from surgery and I can only have coffee or a protein shake for breakfast. Lunch is chobani yogurt and light string cheese because anything else gets stuck. by dinner I can usually eat anything. My doctor says a lot of people have this issue.
  15. Mine did that too. It should go down with time. Congratulations!
  16. Because they can cause erosion. They can cause ulcers too.
  17. I use a small plate but have never used small utensils. I just feel like I need to know how to be able to eat small bites. I wouldn't be able to carry them around with me or eat in front of people using them.
  18. When I did my 10 day preop it was protein shakes only. You are lucky!
  19. My doctor shows a surgery that he performed when you go to the seminar. It was really good to see it, I thought it was cool.
  20. That is kind of funny! Last year I had my surgery on May 25, one day before my son turned 11. I had a party for him the next week and felt wonderful eating my little mushies. Good luck!
  21. I had pain in my port for a long time after surgery. I still experience pain almost 11 months out. About the motrin, I am not sure if your doctor is the same but mine has a big rule about no NSAIDS at all, ever.
  22. Your goal is not unrealistic for your height. I am 5'7" and 149 and in size 6 or 8. I don't think that is too skinny. Just see how you feel when you get closer.
  23. I eat about a cup at each meal. Sometimes more depending on what it is and right now I need a small fill.
