I Hate my Pre-Op Diet!!

And the days are just dragging along. One week to go before my Band. I am ready to move over to the Post op questions and answers!

Sorry folks there is no real topic here. I am just venting because I am hungry! I never was good at not eating!!

No wonder I need WLS!

Sandy,

Hang in there it will all be worth it. You really shouldn't be hungry. Are you getting all the protein in??? Let us know what you are eating so that others can help you.

Me too...

I don't start my liquid diet until May 4th. I might even try (as much as I can go without eating real food) to start the week before that just so I can lose a few extra lbs. My pre-op diet consists of:

  • tomato or V8 juice (yuck)
  • cream of wheat or oatmeal (i only like oatmeal- peaches and cream)
  • SF pudding
  • SF Jello
  • Dannon light N fit yogurt
  • unsweetened applesauce (i like it sweet)
  • fat free raw veggies (not a fan of raw veggies)

I have to have 4 servings of my Protein shake daily. At least 6of these foods from the list.

This is gunna suck.

I Can have 1-2 meals of 4-6 oz chicken breast with 1 cup green veggies

1-2 meals of a Protein shake

Yes eating lots of protein.

Thanks for the replies!

When I did my 10 day preop it was protein shakes only. You are lucky!

You guys are so lucky!!! I'm doing 2 weeks of only protein shakes! I'm not allowed anything else besides chicken broth, crystal light, and sugar free jello. I have to drink 4 shakes/day and it's getting old fast!

This is what my diet was, all liquid all the time!

Good luck to all of you. I know it sucks now but I promise you it's worth it in the end.
