Thanks for posting, I myself am worried:sad: I also have a 11cc band and I'm at 9 1/2cc and I am able to eat anything also, from any kind of bread, chicken, steak etc. I'm so worried. Please let me know how it goes for you. I was banded 7/2/10 and have lost only 26pds. I'm so disappointed with the band at the moment.... -

Thanks for posting, I will have my first fill on tues 8/3 and I cant wait. I feel like i can eat anything at the moment :cursing: I hope it gives me some type of restriction. thanks again and congrats on your 3 1/2 pound loss:thumbup: -
trace10.. What I mean by restriction is that I'm hungry just like before I got my surgery. No I'm not on mushy foods. I was on liquid for the first week and mushy for the second week, after that it was soft solids. At the moment I am able to eat anything that I put in my mouth. It might be different for you as every doctor is different. Some people will have restriction for longer than a week and some will not. I was hoping I was one to be restricted till my first fill but unfortunately not. I lost 10 pounds on the first week and a half, but after that, once the swelling went down I was hungry all the time. Now I just have to watch what I eat and for the most part I'm just maintaining my 10 pound lost.This is why I said that I can't wait for my first fill, I need restriction. I will not complain because I know my time will come and I'm just so happy that I had the surgery. I hope this help and good luck on your new journey:smile:

yes, i also would like to say congrats to everyone getting banded soon. I got banded 7/2 and although I don't have any restrictions at the moment I'm still very happy about my decision. Cant wait till my first fill on 8/3. I'm still so very much excited! good luck everyone:thumbup:

hey thanks for keeping in touch. Wow 14 pds, thats great! I cant wait till I go down at least 10 pds. I'm glad u r feeling better though from the nausea and vomiting. Well good news is that instead of my surgery being on the 17th its actually on the 2nd. yeah 2 days from today. I'm so nervous but also so very excited to get this started. I don't even have to get on a liquid diet before surgery. This feels so unreal right now, i cant believe that i have an actual chance to loose this weight. hey r u able to do the normal day activities yet? or do any type of other activities?

how has your journey been, i hit a bump in the road last week with some nausea and vomiting 10 days post op. doing better now, was very swollen last week so my weight fluxuated a lot! down 14 pounds since the surgery, cant wait for my first fill july 14.
hows the post op diet going? im sure you are doing great but keep in touch!

what happen before the lap-band surgery? I just my date for the surgery and how could I handle my cravings and really want to do this.

Hello everyone, my first time posting a message. I have been going through all my steps and now waiting on insurance approval. I'm so nervous, the waiting period is excruciating. I'm actually doing this with my daughter. She is also going through the process and waiting for approval. I called today and I was told that they should have an answer by this week. I hope all goes well. Please pray for us that it gets approved. We really want to do this together and don't know what we gonna do if we get denied. This waiting period is so difficult!
