    When doctor says rest.. REST

I agree totally. Rest while you can...take it easy in anything you do. I went back to work 6 days after surgery and it was really hard. No one knew what I had done. If you have the option to lay around and take it easy do so. Don't over do it with anything. I am almost six weeks out and I still am not lifting anything over 10 pounds. It just isn't worth it.
  4. I have never lost my hunger. It is so confusing as to why I am still hungery. Now let me be clear. I am not nearly as hungery as I was before and its okay because it takes so little to fill me up. I mean string cheese and a few slices of lunch meat and I am full. So I'm not complaining but wondering why i still get hungery. Not acid. Nothing but hungery. Anyone else have hunger??
  5. I am post op five days. Just want to know when the sipping of fluids stop? I would love to drink normally and not worry about the discomfort I feel from over doing it. Anyone know. I start work tomorrow and am feeling realy good. I got down 4ozs of protein this morning for breakfast. I tried cream of wheat but just didn't get the tasted i wanted to scratched that and just drank protein.
  6. congratualations on your weight loss. Trust me people notice when others lose weight. I know I have always noticed. Its sometimes hard to go up and say something to someone you hardly know or usually never speak to. Once they break the ice people will start wanting to know. Personally Im not telling anyone how. They usually have to many negective comments. Anyway, goodluck on your weight loss.

    Tomorrow is the Big DAY

Well I am back home and everything went well. I was so well taken care of it was unbelieveable. Between my husband and the hospital staff it was an amazing experience. I am on full liquids until I see my doctor in two weeks. Thanks for all the good wishes they really did help a lot. Continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
  8. I am freaking out tomorrow is the big day. I have lost 6 pounds in the last 5 days from the post op surgery diet. WOOHOO. I can't wait to be on the losers bench but I still have a little worry in the back of my head. This is crazy...I want the surgery but I am worried about any complications.

    Looking for Texas Sleevers???

My surgery is scheduled for 8-19-10 I start the diet on Saturday. Who is your surgeon? Is the liquid thing as hard as I think it will be?
  11. Thanks for leaving the comment, I'm sure it will work for you just as it has for me.

    Good luck on your journey.

  12. Anyone that hasn't had a good experience with Whey needs to try this. I love it. I mix it and chill it for a few hours and then it is a wonderful drink. I am hoping I can tolerate this after surgery on the 19th.

Wow, I got a date fast!

I'm self pay. No I am having surgery at a small hospital off Vista drive in Pasedena.
  14. Hi Susan, I am scheduled to have surgery in on August 19, my question is how soon will I feel like returning to work. I work at a state jail in the commissary department(grocery store). I have inmates to help me lift everything so I won't be lifting items, but will I actually feel like returning to work five days after surgery????

  15. :confused1:Well got my surgery date, August 19th. I have five days of pre op diet. Thank goodness thought it would be two weeks. My doctor is Dr. Audencio Alanis from Houston, Texas. I am freaked out at how fast things are moving but hope to be off the yo-yo dieting train soon. My issue is getting off work without anyone knowing and not telling my children until everything is over so they don't worry. Any advice on the pre op diet? Also after the surgery my papers say I can't have coffee???? Is this forever????
