I could really use your help!

I really do not. Because when I scheduled I was with a different dr. well when I got to hospital I asked about the Dr. and they were like that is not your Dr. what had happenes was my twit of a facilitator switched Dr.s and never told me. And I have my Drivers name and number and I have a Dr. that was assisting my Drs name and number but was unable to get a hold of him. I only remembet those two men. I dont even remember what my Dr looked like. The hospital I was in was clean and little and almot like an ER. The staff and Drs were amazing. I have a picture of the outside of hospital but just dont remember my Dr. actually I want to see if I can find the email with my medical stuff the facilitator sent me... Ahhh I did find what she Emailed mme and wont be able to look it up until I get home.

It was not Dr. Almanza. I no longer have the band. So is that still considered a revision because they wont be taking it out? I could ask facilitators this also haha. =)

  6. Hey everyone! I am trying to research Dr.'s / facilitators. However, I am having the hardest time finding different websites for the different facilitators. I keep getting the same facilitators and same Dr's as I am researching, but after reading forums, I am seeing many different Dr's names. So if you guys could just let me know what website you used to find your Dr. that would be amazing. Just to give you a little bit of my story, I was banned August of 2010 and went with (Oh I don't remember the name of the "company") but the facilitator was... lets just say I do not want to go with her again. I had complications with my band since the very 1st fill that I received, and in turn I had to have the band removed emergency situation because nothing was getting through. The complications had nothing to do with my surgery or the facilitator, but I think "normal" band complications. I would LOVE to go back to that Dr. but 1. I can't even remember his name because when I originally scheduled my surger it was with a different Dr. and when I got to Mexico, I was brought to this other Dr. (Shady situation), but the Dr was GREAT, well I should say the guy that helped him. The Driver was good too. 2. I don't know where my old paperwork is seeming I just recently moved to another state... Anyhow, while I was there in Mexico I did meet another facilitator, and her niece, and a few other people that were all working together. That group was AMAZING, but before I make my final decision to give that facilitator a call I would really like to see who else is out there for Dr.'s. and facilitators. Any Information about your Dr. and/or facilitator would be very helpful. THANKS in advance. -Tiffany

    Anybody Else On 11/23?

Thank you very much for the information Charissa. I too had a band. Mine was put in 2 years ago, and taken out a year later. I had mine done in Mexico, and would love to go back to that doctor, but my experience with the facilitator was well horrible lol. I would love to go back to that doctor, but I do not know who facilitates to him. Anyhow, thanks for the information. I am not sure of facilitators, I am just not finding many online. So thanks for the info you gave

    Anybody Else On 11/23?

Hi I was wondering if you went through a coordinator? Or just them? Also how much was it with him? Did you find anything wrong when you went with Bajanor?

    August Rush in bandland!

Hey everyone! It's been a while. I was reading many of the posts and congrats to all of you. I know many of you have hit a wall and I really just wanted to share my story with everyone on my journey thus far: When I got banned I was so extremely happy. I took only one pain pill which was directly after surgery and no more after that. I was very lucky. Well my battle began on my first fill which was 6 weeks after my surgery. I went to a fill center, which had told me my port had flipped so the next morning I flew to CA to go into Mexico so my surgeon could fix my port but I only went to find out my port had not flipped, but instead she(the lady from the fill center) didn't push the needle into my port hard enough. So my Dr went ahead and "filled" me. I say "filled" because that night I was so hungry as though I had no Fluid in my port. Well I called the fill center two weeks later and they told me I had to wait a few more weeks to get a fill. So the day I go in for my fill the lady goes, " hmm you have no fluid in here".. I said well he (the Dr.) told me he put fluid in and I even saw it. She then says well maybe when he sat you up the needle actually came out so the fluid went into your system instead of the port. So she proceeds to put 2 CCs in my 4cc band. Wow is all I could say about that fill because at this point it's Mid October and I am just now having my 1st fill. So lets just say 2ccs was too much and I went back after a month of constantly saying I needed an unfill. I could barely eat and things were constantly coming up. Now in November I went in for .5 cc unfill and I could then eat a bit better. I could take some bites go walking and come back to it. Finally Thanksgiving was the first meal I was able to eat and didn't have it coming back up. YAY for that day. for a full month I was able to control and manage my eating and found a way that worked for me. January then came. By mid January I was aspirating in my sleep. I called the fill center and went in to have them remove all my fluid. I just went in for a fill since January a few weeks ago. The fill Dr put in 1.8 cc's. I am thinking it's a bit much but I am just dealing with it. I wake up in the middle of the night with heartburn, and I am waiting on a referral to go get an upper GI to make sure my band hasn't slipped. So Here I am still super excited through all this pain lol. I started off at around 350 and went down to 269. When I had no fluid in I only gained 14 pounds in 5 months. Which means I was still eating pretty well. Since my new fill I am back to 270. I am trying to adjust to this fill because of the nightly issues. I am super excited about this adventure though because I am in a size 18 and I know when I finally get my brain and band to work together I am going to be unstoppable just like many of you are. So you guys keep pushing and very very proud of you all!

    August Rush in bandland!

Sorry I forgot yes it is my second fill but the first one doesn't count because there was no Fluid in the band when I went back. What they think happened to the fluid is that nothing went into the part but my body instead. The reason being that when they put the needle in it slipped out as they were filling it. (Due to unsteady hands, or when I sat up the needle popped out a little)

Well the fill went great but am I ever having a hard time eating. Drinking is limited to only Water because everything else is just tooo much. The only thing I can eat without some sort of "stuckness" is fruit and yogurt. I am thinking I have too much Fluid, but the fill place is 2 1/2 hours away. So I am just winging it. Good luck on your fill.

    August Rush in bandland!

Sooo.... I went in for my fill today. Had a BETTER experience then the last time I went in there. BUT.. The fluid that my doctor put in was not there. (The one from Mexico. If you remember fill center thought port was flipped so I flew back to Mexico but in reality it wasn't flipped the lady at the fill center just didn't push hard enough. Well today she got it. And used a different needle with NO PROBLEMS but the fluid the other doctor said was in there wasn't. So now I have to just watch and make sure it's not going bye bye's into my stomach. ) Life I tell ya lol.
