  4. How are you doing, Shiba? It is certainly cooling off and making walking much nicer! I work at a school, so this is heading into our busy, busy time of year, but my goal is to continue walking at least a mile each night. Have a great weekend! Rose

Hi Copa, how are things going?

  13. Hi Debra, I'm looking for a little assistance if you don't mind. Your recipes are so great and I thought you might be able to help me . . .I don't like fish, so don't eat it. I can get down tuna if I "doll it up" enough. But my real struggle is chicken . . I used to love chicken of all kinds, since being banded, I find it too dry - no matter how I prepare it. I just can't seem to handle it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!!

  14. Hi WAH. . thanks for your kind words on my pictures . .. and for the friend request. I look forward to following your journey . ..it says in your bio you were to be banded 9/14, were you? If so, how are you doing? Rose

  15. How great that you did not need the 2nd fill yet! I'm so glad you are doing well - consistently. You're like a steam engine, just chugging along towards your goal! You're doing great and thanks for sharing your journey stories. Rose

  16. Hi Giby . . how are you doing? Haven't read a post from you in a bit, so thought I'd check in. Hope all is well in your world!

  17. Hi Janet . . .haven't heard from you since your post about not feeling well. Have you recovered? Praying you are well .. . Rose

  18. Thanks for the friend request - I look forward to following your progress in your posts!

  19. Thanks Blondi, and I agree - this is a very positive site. I enjoy the blogs more than the chat room . .. things get off target there quite a bit. But on these blogs, people just seem to encourage each other - it's great.

  20. Almost 6 months out and I'm still lovin' my band (which I've named J. Giels - the J. Giels Band ). I've lost 70 pounds since I started pre-op diet July 1st. Hope you are all doing well . ..where are my "old" band buddies? We've lost each other on this new site!

  21. Hi Gina . . I don't get on this site much since it changed. I just can't figure it out anymore - ughh! I hope you get this message. The support group is on Wednesdays and yes, it is next week - hope to see you there! Rose

  22. Hi Bklynike, how are you doing? I haven't caught many posts from you lately . . . the last one I read looked like you were doing well. I am scheduled for surgery next Thursday - a week from today, wow! I went to my first support group meeting last night and it was very helpful. The dietician at my docs office is fairly new, but the people were great. Wishing you well. . . Rose

  23. Hi shiba. . I am banded (7/15/10) . . have not had a fill yet and don't feel the need yet. Doing very well and glad you are too. What difference do you notice since you've had your first fill? I was banded in Saginaw, Dr. Ringley - how about you?

  24. I feel exactly like you described. I am probably eating a little less because I am intentionally trying to do so. And as I finish that meal, I find that I am adequately full. My problem is that I am hungry again before the next meal . .. not ravenous, but hungry. I have not had trouble with any food and I'm also losing pretty well . . .so why get another fill? I'm just not sure. I surely don't want to get another fill and have trouble. My schedule is similar to yours except meals are closer together . ..6:45 for bkfst, lunch at 12:00 and supper at 4:45. I have an hour commute home and if I try to wait to eat supper at home, then it is after 6:00 and I'm waay too hungry for my own good. So this makes a long night after supper, but that's when I do my walking and drink lots of water too. Overall, I am so happy with this, I just want to use it to my best benefit. Thanks for your response . . .Rose
