  1. You are only supposed to lose 1-3lbs a week. Lap band is slower more gradual weight loss. Don't weigh yourself every week it just makes you more stressed. I was like that at first and then I became obsessed and crazy with it. That was no way to live. You can tell by your clothes if you are losing. Just weigh once every 2 or three weeks. That is actually what my support group suggests.
