Calling Cheri CLK and other vets!
I wonder where your surgeon gets 4 pounds per week from? My surgeon said 1-2 pounds per week is what should be expected.

Stupid head
I have the same problem, and I find logging my food on MyFitnessPal helps a lot. If I have to log the food and actually see it on the screen, makes me think twice about eating more than I ought to!

Q: how you y'all use Quest bars?
How are the "Oh Yeah! Victory" bars better than the Quest ones? Is the texture different?

Dr. Borland- New Iberia, LA
Just wanted to finally post my experience with Dr. Borland in Louisiana. I chose him because his self-pay price was only 9800 (my hubby wasn't comfortable with Mexico!) and he does the surgery outpatient (I had no desire to stay in the hospital) His receptionist isn't the friendliest woman in the world, but she does answer all questions you have. You get your pre-op testing done at home with your own doc. From the time I inquired about surgery to the date of my surgery was less than 1 month. You choose and pay for the hotel you stay at. I flew into New Orleans, and the drive to New Iberia was a few hours. You can also fly into Lafayette but its much more expensive. After surgery, Dr. Borland visits you at your hotel several times per day. The surgery is done at the New Iberia Surgery Center. It's not super high-tech looking inside, but the nurse was very kind and competent and the whole surgery itself was a breeze. Dr. Borland does not use a drain, and sent me back to my hotel with these inflatable stocking things to use to avoid blood clots. He prescribes liquid Vicodin for pain (I didn't use it--couldn't keep it down) and a suppository that helps with nausea and also puts you to sleep. My pain was very minimal; my biggest problem the first few days was vomiting up when I tried to drink. I had surgery on Thursday and flew home to Wisconsin on Sunday with no trouble. Dr. Borland is available by cell whenever I need him, and always helps me out with questions. If you're looking for an affordable surgeon in the US, I would definitely recommend Dr. Borland. He is top notch. He even gives you a flash drive with a video of your procedure, if you want to watch your sleeve be born Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!! And no, I was not paid to write this review. Haha

Scewed Perceptions?
- Reward at Goal..need ideas!
There is a fancy lingerie store by me that is open only by appointment. When I reach goal, I'm going to make an appointment there and get a perfectly fitting bra and maybe something sexy, too- Really random question
I had a lot of the leak symptoms at 2 weeks or so out. Turns out it was just gastritis, and was easily treated.- $30 of products for $10 at Bariatric Choice
For me I didn't get the $20 off unless I clicked the "maximize" thing!- Assignment:How to elicit spousal support...help please
My husband didn't want me to have the surgery. He finally "consented" when I found doable financing and was able to explain to him adequately how much of an emotional toll this whole lose/gain cycle was having on me. It also made him uncomfortable (with good reason) that I was having surgery halfway across the country with a man I'd never met. However, once he met the surgeon those fears disappeared.- No Want
This seriously made me laugh!! Thank you- Menstraul Cycle?!?!
Not everyone has a catheter, either. I didn't, nor did I have a drain.- solid foods....not good
Everyone heals at a different rate. If regular food isn't working for you yet, by all means stay on purée and try again in another week.- panniculectomy
What is skin breakdown?- "I'm praying for you!"
I used to have a supervisor who was very religious, and one day he pulled me into his office to ask me if everything was ok. I was very confused and told him everything was just fine. He got this relieved look on his face and told me he couldn't get me out of his head all weekend, thought something might be wrong, and he'd been praying for me. I had NO IDEA what to say, so I just said "Thanks" and awkwardly left the room. So, so weird.- Lose 10 and stall, lose 10 and stall
- May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
Sleeved May 22. Down 42 pounds from day of surgery- If there was a Class Action Lawsuit against the band....
Exactly. I just got my check from Skechers last week for $35 for the false claims they make with their Shape-Ups shoes- Mood swings
Well there are hormones stored in your fat cells so when they deplete, the hormones are released in large quantities. That may be a big part of it!- My Story is UNIQUE
So glad you were in the hands of a capable surgical team!- Block someone
Is it me? Hehe- Gastric sleeve or Duodenal Switch? Which surgery to have...
The sleeve size is generally pretty similar regardless of bougie size used. The only people I've heard of who have especially large sleeves are folks with lots of scar tissue from the lap band or who have anatomically "long" stomachs. - Reward at Goal..need ideas!
