  1. I think everyone's surgeons are different.
  2. Lots of people around the forum drink coffee.
  3. If you listen carefully, you can actually hear the can of worms opening...
  4. My Chike iced coffee protein shake certainly has caffeine in it...
  5. Medifast makes a high-protein pancake meal, if you absolutely had to have it.
  6. Never seen the movie so I couldn't tell ya! I'm sure it's based on the book, but how it compares I can't be sure.
  7. Ugh, I absolutely hate compliments!! Except from my hubby
  8. Hot stuff, comin' through!
  9. Good for you, Ted! Keep us updated--we'll be rooting for you!
  10. I felt fine when I woke up. it was the next day that sucked...but even that was tolerable. You'll do just fine; remember, the ends justify the means!
  11. Definitely make your last meal of the day high protein and very low carb to hold off those nasty cravings and tummy rumblies. And drink plenty of water, too!
  12. I didn't ever feel this way...I read up on the surgery for 3 years before having it done, and never doubted my choice. When I woke up, all I could think was "Finally!"
  13. Yes, exactly! I'm pretty sure everyone has doubts for a while after surgery, but I"m talking about the people that really, truly believe they made the wrong decision and are unhappy with their choice to have the surgery.
  14. I know everyone has feelings of doubt, but I'm more referring to all the threads I've seen lately about people regretting their decision.
  15. Out of curiosity, I'm wondering how many of the folks who've recently started threads regretting their sleeve had a psychological evaluation done prior to surgery? I'm not accusing you of anything, just wondering! (I didn't have one done)
  16. Has your doctor given you anything to deal with the nausea?
  17. Have you ever read "Fast Food Nation"? The chapter about food additives is crazy. It's amazing how much of the flavor in a McDonald's hamburger is actually just chemicals produced in a lab. One time my MIL bought an organic, free-range chicken. She told us it was the "worst chicken she ever had." I remember telling her "That's because you don't know what chicken actually tastes like."
  18. !

All I can say is that when it does come, don't be surprised if it's a little....gross. hehe
  19. I did just fine. Had surgery on Wednesday, was back to work the next Tuesday with no pain. Today and yesterday are the first days of pain I've had, and that's only because I over-exerted myself and pulled an abdominal muscle!!
  20. Turns out it was a pulled muscle in my stomach. I bought a back brace and it's helping a lot. So did the vicodin I took last night leftover from my surgery! haha
  21. Not sure about shiritake noodles, but with tofu, it depends on the firmness. You could have silken tofu in the soft foods phase, but extra firm tofu (especially sauteed) should probably wait until you're on all regular foods.
  22. It sort of sounds like a vasovagal episode, too.
  23. I wish I looked as good as that "before" chick .She carries her weight well! hehe
  24. Wish I could have taken 2 weeks off for mine! I had surgery the 22nd and was back to work on the 28th.
