Night snacking!

I have my surgery 7/22 and I have been on a 5 small meals a day with protein in each eating plan and I have been finding myself super hungry at night and some nights I can handle it other nights I fail and eat like I haven't eaten all day! It's so frustrating because ill be successful all day and then BAM I sabotage myself! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I really need to get this under control!

Definitely make your last meal of the day high protein and very low carb to hold off those nasty cravings and tummy rumblies. And drink plenty of water, too!

I try to eat dinner later in the evening. Also, save a few calories and eat something filling. A glass of skim milk, a cup of fat free greek yogurt, low fat string cheese are all good after dinner snack options.

I also have something hot to drink such as sugarfree hot cider, Sleepytime Tea, or decaf coffee.

Make sure you are eating whole grains, lots of veggies, lean Protein, low or non-fat dairy, and a little fruit. These foods will stay with you longer and help keep you feeling full.

Thank you so much for suggestions worked yesterday and I know it's going to work tonight cause I'm just sitting down for dinner! Brushing my teeth helped too which was another suggestion someone gave me! The tea really helped too!
