I was going to ask the same thing. What does very cold Water do? I have tried ice cubes and that does not have the same effect as the ice cream does.

February 2010 is when I had my lapband. I have had a few fills but everytime I have to go back and get the fills removed. Evidently I completly shut up and then I am sick non stop. Luckily I have a great surgeon who has came in on the weekends fo me. I have lost 100 pounds so I am very happy. My problem is I still have alot of trouble with food sticking in my band and hurting when I eat. I eat icecream everyday before eating dinner. It seems like the icecream numbs me so it does not hurt to eat. I have not gained weight back but I can not lose any more weight either. I still have 30 pounds to my goal weight. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

Thank you so much for this post. So many people have asked me about this and I just printed it out so I can show it to them. I have been having so much trouble with fills it has been driving me crazy. Thanks again.

I use a goal size, not a goal weight.

My goal size is 38-inch slacks and a man's extra-large shirt.

As I stated I plan on having my Fluid taken out before my cruise. I also have a great doctor and he is one of the top MD doctors for lapband and he has stated it is very safe to do this. When I go on vacation I do not want to be sick which seems to happen everytime I eat lately and I do not gorge. I eat very slow and small small portions.

You can go to your doctor and get all the Fluid taken out of your band then you will be able to eat. Just be careful not to eat to much to gain weight back. I am going on a cruise and this is what I am doing. I want to be able to enjoy myself and have fun without getting stuck.

Why did the insurance company refuse to pay? You can't say it is medically necessary? That is what happened to me with my insurance but then I got lucky and my company switched insurance companies and the new insurance paid. Good luck to you!

You have nothing to be nervous about for the psych appt. As far as the other appointment I'm sorry I don't know what that is. The psych appt was very simple and easy they just ask basic questions. You will be fine.:thumbup:
