33 lbs gone plus ten prior total 43. Here waiting for Irene to arrive in NYC. I had to evacuate.

Cleared to return to gym but nothing strenuous yet. See doc in 4 weeks.Three more lbs and 240s gone for good.

Post op visit number 2+ 3 more bit the dust. Total 27 post-op gone forever.

Do have another qualifier? Such as DM, HTN, etc. I just made the cut but I have HTN so that qualified me. I have BCBS.

Able to wear a summer top that up until two weeks ago would not fit because it was so tight. This morning, it simply fell into place and it is even big. Woo hoo....

This evening I met my first challenges. I had to attend a meeting and it was being held in an Italian restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant and no one had ordered. We started our meeting, I slowly sipped on my water. Before leaving the house, I took my protein shake, one of the recommended low-fat yogurts on my list and a bottle of water. Hi NYBandster. I just had my banding done on july 26 by Dr. Gibbs. Her care was superb. I had to stay beyond discharge due to a bad esophagitis. The banding went well. I am on medication for the esophagitis. Still on clears. I had an upper Gi plus a scoping. Dr. Gibbs wanted to know why I was having discomfort upon taking fluids. I am home. Down 13 pounds this week.

Discharged today. Doing better. Just a case of esophagitis held my discharge. still on clears. Get full fast.

Hi. I post my update after surgery but could not find it. I was just discharged today. Had minor set back but not from the surgery or the banding. I had a bad case of esophagitis which was causing extreme discomfort when I started to take fluids. I had an upper GI plus an endoscopic procedure which showed the bad esophagitis. The banding was fine because the endoscope was able to pass through.<...
