    A lifetime ago...

It's April 01st 2010, Fool's Day. Seems like a good day to start recording what life was like, what's going to happen and beyond. Knowing what i know about myself, i think it a good idea to write as much down as possible so that i can look back and remember, if per chance i forget where i am right now and where i want to be... after my scheduled lap-band surgery on June 21st 2010. The 7th of March, the day i decided to take the step and have a lap-band inserted, was just a little over 3 weeks ago, but it seems like a lifetime. So much has happened since then... but that's another story for tomorrow.
  2. Hi, just wanted to say hello and wish you well in your surgery on April 01st. I start my Pre-Op then, and have my band on June 21st. Will be thinking of you, and keeping you in my prayers. All the best! Dee :)

  3. Newbie Dee here, hi :-) Just this evening, wending my way around your great website and all it contains i am so glad that i have found lapbandtalk.com! What a great group of people you all seem to be as well. My details are on my profile (or the statistics section?) but i decided on 07/03/10 to have lap-band surgery. Everything has happened rather quickly since then, and given all going well, my surgery date is set to be June 21st 2010. I have about 123 kg (270lbs) to lose, so it's a bit of a long road for me. Decision made though, and reading all your stories, i have a real feeling of hope now. Any information, or advice you have for me is most welcome and much appreciated!
  4. G'day, Dee here (newbie). I have only recently decided to have lap-band surgery. My details are in my profile. I happened upon your group and after I saw some of the posts - thought I would join. I have a date set for surgery, and want to learn as much as I can about the procedure. This has all happened so fast, and where I live is fairly isolated, so I thought I would check out online support networks. Yours looks pretty 'fair dinkum', so here I am. Reckon i might keep a blog too, so that i never forget what it was like... as i make a new life for myself and my beautiful daughters. Blessings, xox :-)
