  1. Start tracking your food. Yes you can gain/maintain weight eating "healthy" foods. It's all about calories in vs calories out. Buy yourself a digital scale, weigh your food, and start tracking everything you eat; you'll be surprised I bet. Focus on getting your protein/water in on a daily basis as well.
  2. I stayed under 30g of carbs when I did low carbing. I just stopped eating bread, rice, pasta, etc. I did lose most of my weight doing low carb but I don't do low carb anymore.

  4. I've hit 130g+ a day. Protein doesn't turn into fat, unless of course the protein you're taking in is excess calories..but anyway. Seems like you're on the right track.

    How much protein are you getting? My hair loss started about 3 months in and I was getting over 100g protein a day. It's common with weight loss and surgery combined.

    I'm 20, a size 2, and I have enough sagging skin to go around Does it bug me? Yep. But nothing that plastic surgery can't fix. Besides, I'd much rather be able to run for miles and miles, walk up stairs without being winded, and actually get compliments everyday about being a "skinny b***h" opposed to being fat again, but that might just be me. The skin is worth it.

    Eat more, definitely, especially on your workout days. I am probably much smaller than you in all ways possible and I am eating more than you Try eating at 1600 calories for a week. If you see no movement add 100 calories each week. I had to do this when I plateaued. I was eating 1200 calories and it worked for awhile but then it stopped; hit a plateau for a month plus and I tried everything; decreased calories, increased exercise, did more cardio, less cardio, more weight lifting, less weight lifting...crazily enough none of that worked. What did work was (holy crap) eating more. I worked my way up, 100 calories each week; and the scale started moving again at 1700 calories. I've been at another stall for another month, and I am just now eating more; 1800 calories. We'll see where I am tomorrow morning. Also, you say averaging. Do you calorie count/weigh your food? If you don't, you may want to start! I didn't for awhile but ever since I bought a digital food scale it's been god sent, honestly. I'm no good at eyeballing and eyeballing is no good when you're trying to lose weight. I'd say invest in one as they are a huge help! Good luck and feel free to PM me if you need help/get stuck.

    How many calories are you eating? You may not be eating enough. Undereating and over-exercising will lead to weight-gain; not fat gain (there is a difference) but weight gain. This has to do with hormones, Water weight, and cortisol levels. I disagree with the posters above in the fact that you're building muscle. Everyday bodybuilders maybe put on .2lbs of muscle a week; there's no way you're seeing muscle gain. Gaining muscle takes eating above your caloric maintenance as well. If anything I'm gonna say you're not eating enough and water retention may be the culprit. Give your body another week to get used to the new exercise, maybe reassess where your calories are. I had to bump mine up again recently after seeing that I was burning upwards of 2400 calories a day. Good luck!
  11. The Protein content is great for something so small; the calories aren't high at all but I guess it depends on how many calories youre eating a day. It's great mixed with granola and fruit and if you add some sort of sweetener to it the sourness really dies down a lot. I eat GY every morning mixed with oatmeal, a scoop of Protein powder, cereal/granola and whatever else. Easy Breakfast full of protein.

    Slight unfill. Not eating dense Protein isn't healthy nor advised with the band. Eat less calories than you burn and your weight-loss will continue. Good luck!

    Any type of meat + veggies would be good. Maybe order the sauce on the side if you can.
  14. Eat meat that isn't so lean. 900 calories is too low. If you're working out you definitely need to up it. Do you like nuts? Almonds, peanuts, and other nuts are high in fats which will boost your overall calories easily. 28 almonds has 160 calories I believe.
  15. Greek yogurt is a bit sour, moreso than normal yogurt. I'd use vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry; it's up to you! I usually do 6oz yogurt + a scoop of protein powder; usually a good 25g+ protein in one meal! Remember you can always add sweetener (stevia, splenda, etc) to sort of take off the sour edge. You can even add vanilla extract or other kinds to help hide the sourness. Fruit works well too!

    I prefer the eat foods that fit into your caloric needs so that you can live with said diet forever, diet.
  18. Bypass, and technically any WLS is a drastic move. I think you have too many food problems that need to be dealt with before jumping into a whole new surgery type. Bypass requires you to be on Vitamins for life; I'm not sure if that's worth it, but that's just me. Maybe see a therapist who can help you with some of the problems you mentioned. If you keep up the same way of eating with bypass, you won't lose weight then either. WLS isn't a crutch and I think you're using it that way; maybe not intentionally. I say figure out the underlying problems first then consider WLS is needed. The sleeve may be a better/less drastic option for you. Good luck!

    He said nothing about carbs, but all right Good luck fighting your cravings! I too am still losing weight, but I've learned its about the quantity of what I eat, not where the calories are from, for the most part.
