Hi Dawn did you have your surgery?If so how did you make out?

Congratulations! Wow, a free lap-band, what an amazing life changing prize! Thank you for your support. I have been working really hard and I count every calorie that I eat. I eat around 900 calories a day. Zumba is so much fun and anyone at any level can enjoy it. I hope that you will be able to transform your life and most definitely your health so that you can live more comfortably and happily because you absolutely deserve it. Please keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions or could just use some support!

I feel pretty great... I'm sick and tired of liquids... but it will be worth it. Dr. Rehnke is right about the diet and I didn't have any of the complications I was afraid of because of the opifast... I had less problems with the opifast as I did with the 2nd post-op week of clear liquids... then i wished for opifast. You will be really hungry but not until the 2nd week after surgery. The books all say that the lapband surgery causes extreme hunger for the first year after it. It will be better when I can eat again... but at least now I'm able to do yogurt, opifast(you will have some left), oatmeal, milk, sugar-free pudding, and cream soups. It's hard but will be worth it. I don't crave the carbs that got me into this in the first place... LOL... So that's wonderful. I am so excited for you... You will do great. Good Luck and you'll be in my prayers.

hey Disney......How are you feeling? Hope all is going well. I would imagine the hard part is behind you now and by next summer you will be hitting the FL beaches wearing your bikini I'm very happy for you. I started my Optifast today.....and Im having a difficult time with it. But I will keep my eye on the prize...so I too can get into my bikini soon.....lol (I never wore one when I was skinny, young, and fit......so I dont imagine Ill be wearing one now...lol ) . Well keep me in your prayers as I will continue to pray for you and your speedy recovery. April 23rd is my big day (2 weeks). Isn't Dr. Rehnke so wonderful.

Congratulations on winning the contest! I am so excited for you... Dr. Rehnke is a great doctor and a great "band leader"... i am so glad he did my surgery and is on my side. I feel great...better every day... It's 2 weeks since my surgery and I am excited for the future... Please keep me updated on you progress and Congrats! You will be a "band geek" just like me soon... let me be one of you "Band-aids".
