my PS poured peroxide on my incisions Saturday morning and its in my 'handbook', so i guess its ok.. he didnt specify neosporin, but any antibiotic ointment will work

holy crap am i swollen!! im sitting here without my binder (was cutting into incision) a "wife beater" that is about 10 sizes too small and my pants around my hips... SO wouldnt have done this last week!! DH lovingly poured peroxide on my incisions this morning.. dear god that burned like an MF!! we put some pain relief neosporin on it and that helps... thats about all going on. pretty boring day! :biggrin:

thanks guys... last night was really rough and I didnt sleep well at all.. I'm very picky about my pillows and something was just 'off' and I had a headache of gigantic proportions.. took 2 doses of 3 Tylenol each and it didnt knock it out. so I woke ip about 7, ate breakfast, helped put DD's socks on (my major accomplishment for the day) sent her and DH off to school and went backto bed.. so I'm up now, headache still lingering, but not horrid. I think I have mypillow situation figured out though.. plus i called my surgeon, its ok to take Tylenol PM tonight since I haven't been on pain meds since Sunday night.. I love Tylenol PM... hopefully tonight I'll get a good rest. my incision feels like its pulling apart, very very tight. I was told to expect this, but it is still kinda painful.. 4 out of 10 maybe. while in the hospital I never got above a 5 so its kinda big. I dont really want to take my liquid pain meds mostly cause it tastes like crap and it completely knocks meout.. so is today better than yesterday?? I'm going to have to say no... :rolleyes2: but its better than Sunday, so I'll take it!! :biggrin: thanks for your thoughts, PMS, and responses.. I know I owe some pms, I'll get them.. :biggrin:

ohhh private workouts are FUN!! I'm staying on plan tomorrow cause I want to get rid of my post op swelling... and the fluff that isn't post op swelling...

ok, so he apologized profusely and admitted how stupid he was.. of course this was after I sneezed and started crying... yup, hurt that bad.. so no longer for sale - for now :drool: I posted another pic ip on make me heal.. its without clothing, just a clack triangle over my hoo hah.. scar looks really 'angry' red. this was after the sneeze and a shower.. I still look big, but nowhere near where I was before.. slowly...

ok so he can just go back to work tomorrow.. I told him I was sorry he was having a not so good day... his reply: 'its only a week' he can just go back to work.. the dogs can get boarded again and I'll be fine by myself.. fing pissed me off..

welcome Andi and congrats on almost 100 pounds!! that's great! i agree, a lot of docs dont offer any post op care. (my doc being one of them). my best advice, look around this site, lots of info here. good luck!

just took these this morning. i have the binder up a little higher to help control the swelling in my upper tummy. today is a lot better so far. things are ummm.. 'moving along' and had one of my top 10 most embarrassing moments yesterday... had to ask DH to take care of it... not a fun thing to do - for either of us im sure... but this morning, all was fine and i could do everything on my own... yay! small victories, right?? so here are my 3 day pics... i cant really tell much of a difference from 2 and 3 day, but i'll compare them at 2 and 7 maybe... still really swollen... really swollen, but it will get better, i know. i am a full 7 inches bigger in my waist than the day before surgery!! im going to order my new garment today. i need to get it quickly, my binder is quite nasty and cannot be dried in a dryer. i dont want to go too long without anything... my body temp is still really fluctuating... im never at a good state... either REALLY warm or freezing. hopefully that will regulate within a week or so yeah, right.

karey, what time are you going in tomorrow? you will be in my thoughts and prayers. take it as easy as possible today, dont stress yourself out too much. you will do fabulously! C

karey, breathe believe be happy ... you'll do great. i cannot believe how much better i feel today than the past 2 days. i got up out of bed by myself and even went to the bathroom by myself. it didnt take as long as we thot it would.. went in the OR at 8, dr p said we were finished no later than 12:15-12:30... not bad wonder if I'll get part of my 'estimated' anastesia (sp??) fees back?? not gunna hold my breath. im hwving issues with my binder.. its cutting into one of my insisions... fing kills, nearly passed out when trying to fix it... not fun.

ok, im set up in my bed but sitting down. i have an alarm that goes off every 45 mins to get my butt up and moving. i cant walk in circles cause ive gotten really dizzy even just turning, so im walking the perimeter of our house 2-3 times. lipo incisions are starting to itch horribly. i had DH rub them and that helped, but i can only have him rub for so long .. :thumbup: my hands and feet look like they belong to the old 400 lb me. horrible!! talk about puffy! im trying to drink as much as possible, but i think my band is really tight or something, cause im just not interested in anything - eating or drinking which i guess is a good thing cause much to my dismay i had more 'skin' than 'fat' removed and it was considerably less than i hoped for... i was hoping for at least 35ish, not so much! so hopefully, being nice and restricted afterwards, i can make it up to 35 (hahahahahahahahaha HA) my DH is so sweet, but just doenst get it... im achy and just not in the best of moods ... so he's getting all defensive and such ... **sigh** i am not intending to be bitchy, really... DD is in one of her moods ... dont have to worry about the low BP now that's for sure!! she's tired and cranky and pissed off that we wont give her candy like my dad did when he was here watching her (we never give her candy - especially to 'keep her awake'.. grrrrr) so now i have a recovering sugar addict for a daughter. yay. ok ... getting tired and its almost time to walk. thanks everyoen i really appreciate you all!

no heartburn yet.. doc wants me primarily on my back... SO not a back sleeper.. i alternated last night between left abd right sife sleeping, may be why im swollen.. he was thinking small pockey of fluid, but put a needle in thre and nothing came oue... soooo i guess its back sleepung for me sorry typos

ok.... i am SO swollen. SO SO SO very swollen, hopefully not just my fingers and toes cause my tummy is still bigger than i would liek it, but ya know, even if i were to only go down a little more, it would be SO worth it. i had DH take pics in these pants night before and took them again just now. really big difference! kinda questioning the lipo... ??? i dont see a huge difference yet. hopefully its just swelling (a lot).

pain is minimal, more sore than anything. my pain pump ran out of juice, so he pulled it out this morning.. didnt even feel it. getting up and down off the bathroom was challenging. appetite still gone, they brought me a HUGE Breakfast of omelet, 2 biscuits, sausage, etc.. darn near made me gag... :laugh: had 1/2 atkins shake and banana, slowly eating chocolate pudding right now. being around DD I think has taken care of the low BP. she is tired and whiney.. dunno if I posted, I did get a shower in.. felt AMAZING!! I felt like there was a green smoke coming from my body *gag*.. I can't remember who all response, sorry. faith, will have DH set up reminders for the breathing karey, hope all went well with mom.. it isn't HORRIBLE, but not a walk in the park... walk as soon as they suggest it. first few times suck, but it gets easier thanks everyone for thoughts REALLY appreciate it. C

I took a shower before I left the surg center ... felt great now im just sleepy DH is picking up some bansnss to get things 'moving' again.. hope that works. sooooo sleepy. walked a lot hoday. will check in later
