    some drinking questions.

    hi, it took a few weeks to get the idea that i HAD to drink. up until then i was getting quite seriously dehydrated. i then had to force liquids in. i guess that phase lasted about 2 more weeks. i can now drink plenty.

    both of the above suggestions are what i would say. a t-shirt b/c you dont want to get burned or you had your gallbladder out.

    - listen to my body and my band eat until 'not hungry' not 'full' - REALLY push myself with exercise one or more times a week try a kick boxing class, go an extra 15 - 20 minutes on the treadmill, etc... - try to cut down with the carbs - wear clothes that fit, not 3+ sizes too big even if it means wearing the same 5 outfits every week - try to stop using so much plastic

    to answer the question in your subject - "is it worth the risk"... in short, nope. you more than likely had a nice variety of foods pre-banding. i know i didnt get fat on Protein drinks and banana Protein shakes. you've got to stick with what your MD gives you. yes, it sucks. i had a fill right before my husband's birthday ... my MD says mushies for a few days after a fill, i had mushies for my DH's b-day. not ideal, but i want maximum results. i know what it is like to be bored with food choices. by choice i am having Mahi Mahi for dinner about 5 nights a week (lots of protein, minimal calories), hell yes i am bored with it, but it's working. i've lost 9 1/4 pounds in less than 2 weeks. YOU CAN DO THIS!! really you can. i havent heard of anyone dying from post-surgery diet.

    ahhhh ... the Keg ... that was (ahem - one of) my last suppers as well. we do have Kegs down in Texas too. i lived in TO for awhile and was very happy to see them here. good luck on the Optifast and w/ your surgery.

    20 days until Banding!

    pre band you are doing awesome!! just think how much easier it is going to be post op now that you've started making changes ... i was a diet (cherry) coke-aholic pre-band ... my surgeon did say i could TRY it a few weeks out ... i tried it and it didnt even taste the same so i havent tried it again ... ehhh... i'll stick w/ my crystal light.

    i would love to get into pilates but i do not know one thing about it ... i work with a personal trainer and do crunches on an exercise ball. they kill me but are working.

    hi, sorry to hear that you are gaining... are you moving at all? even a 15 - 20 minute walk will burn some of those calories. you can do this!! look how far you have come! you are doing awesome!

    ReneBean, i loved your post ... what is really quite sad now is that LB catalog online is now even going up to a 7X!! which i guess would have been a good thing if i had not been banded. i was at a 6x and gaining... i'm glad to hear that there is a difference between 348 and 295. i have gone from 402 to 345 and there is a difference, but i want to experience so much more! congrats on your loss - everyone is doing SO great!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

    ok ... so i am working my tail off at the gym - i went for over 2 hours today and thought i deserved to get in the hot tub afterwards ... i was sitting in it and this guy comes in. i got hit on by the guy getting into the hot tub ... even if he wasnt even serious, i got hit on ... :faint: LOL.

    Julie, you have done wonderful. and to be honestly blunt who cares what she thinks? is she going to pay for it? i think your hubby is on the right track. you are taking care of yourself and losing weight and looking great and she may just be a tad jealous. dont let her get you down - you are doing great!!
