  1. Thank you both for the info. I can not wait for the reflux to be gone. I just feel so awful all the time, and the sad thing is anything healthy pretty much makes it worse so I am not eating well. On the otherside I am not eating much so I haven't gained at all. I have been the same exact weight since March. I am so hoping this will get me to goal!

  2. My surgery is tomorrow, and I am a ball of nerves. I'm considered low risk, so I'm really hoping everything goes well and there are no complications! I've got to finish packing my hospital bag tonight. I can't believe it's here!

    How is everyone doing?

Oh the absolute same here!!! So nervous, should NOT have googled! Google is no longer my friend!!!!

My bag is almost packed - lots of nighties, pj bottoms and all things comfy.

    Don't think I'll sleep tonight

Google Bad..... You will be fine. Best of Luck!

  3. I am feeling good! My weight is steadily coming off again and I have great restriction. I was not sleeping great for a while over Christmas, and fought with the same 4 pounds for about 3 weeks! As soon as I turned off the TV at night and started sleeping better, the weight is moving again in the right direction. I hope your surgery goes well; keep us posted!

Yay I am so glad to hear that. I know I am having the revision done because of a medical necessity, but I am excited at the possibility of losing more weight. I will keep you all posted! I am glad you are all doing well with your recovery and weightloss!

  4. There are quite a few of us January patients then!

How are you feeling about it?

    Mine is January 23rd

I am not sure how I feel. It came so sudden. A month ago I thought I was just having a little reflux and they would put me on a higher dose of meds. Part of me is excited at the prospect of losing more weight. The other side is scared to death of the RNY

  5. Hi

I've had my gastric sleeve revision to rny gastric bypass four days ago. I'm home since yesterday but it wasn't and still isn't easy. It feels as though I've been punched with 5 umbrellas and I have slight diarrhea but no more GERD and I'm hoping it begins to get better from now on. Happy to find similar people for support. Strangely enough I've been asked to take Clear Liquids on my first week, then full liquids like milk and yogurt then purred on then third week but I wasn't told I should take in Protein. Any feedback is appreciated thanks!

I know when I had the sleeve done the first week they just wanted me to focus on getting liquids in. Then after my follow up appt they had me start on Protein drinks. I was allowed to have them that first week, but it wasn't something I needed to focus on.

  6. I was really hoping I would not have to do the 6 month wait. I understand the point, but I have been on every diet known to man. Owell it is only 6 months out of my life. I go to my PCP on Weds of next week and they will schedule my sleep apnea test from there as well as some blood work. I can not meet with the surgeon until the next seminar and that isn't until the 21st. They just advised me to get the ball rolling by going to the PCP. I have Highmark BC/BS so there are so many hoops to jump through!
