  1. Mine is the same day! Luckily I only have to do 3 days, but it definitely is a mind game.

    VSG to RNY recovery

Thank you both for the info. I can not wait for the reflux to be gone. I just feel so awful all the time, and the sad thing is anything healthy pretty much makes it worse so I am not eating well. On the otherside I am not eating much so I haven't gained at all. I have been the same exact weight since March. I am so hoping this will get me to goal!
  3. Hi all, I am due to have revision on January 23rd due to GERD. For those of you that have had both what was your recovery vs. the sleeve, and did you have additional weight loss.
  4. Oh the absolute same here!!! So nervous, should NOT have googled! Google is no longer my friend!!!! My bag is almost packed - lots of nighties, pj bottoms and all things comfy. Don't think I'll sleep tonight Google Bad..... You will be fine. Best of Luck!
  5. Good Luck Tomorrow! Let us know how you are doing!

    Approved for conversion to bypass!

Yay I am so glad to hear that. I know I am having the revision done because of a medical necessity, but I am excited at the possibility of losing more weight. I will keep you all posted! Approved for conversion to bypass!

How are you all that already had the revision feeling? I go on the 23rd for mine.
  8. I am not sure how I feel. It came so sudden. A month ago I thought I was just having a little reflux and they would put me on a higher dose of meds. Part of me is excited at the prospect of losing more weight. The other side is scared to death of the RNY

    January Surgeries

I am being revised from a sleeve to bypass on the 23rd
  10. I am having the revision on Jan 23rd from Sleeve to Bypas due to reflux. How are you doing?

Just got revision from sleeve to bypass!

I know when I had the sleeve done the first week they just wanted me to focus on getting liquids in. Then after my follow up appt they had me start on Protein drinks. I was allowed to have them that first week, but it wasn't something I needed to focus on.

    Revision

I am to have a sleeve to Bypass revision done on the 23rd due to reflux. Has anyone gone through that. I can't seem to find anything on the site. I am just wondering weight wise how much more anyone has lost.
  13. I have a genuine question. For those of you who fell pregnant early after sleeve. Do you use any type of birth control. I am honestly asking this because I want to make sure what I am using works!! Well until I don't want it to
  14. @@KatieD6982 Not sure if I replied to this, but when I called the surgeon she suggested that while I am waiting for the seminar (August 21) I should get in to see my pcp for the sleep apnea test etc.. So I have an appointment for August 6th to see her to get the ball rolling.

  16. @@KatieD6982 I am not sure. I think you have to have a monitored diet for 6 months.
  17. @@cdadams I did receive information from Highmark that said I must attend 6 consecutive sessions. I haven't met with surgeon yet, but I do not think there is a way around it. I can not have the surgery until after November anyways so it is what it is.

    co-morbidities?

Lele@@leelee2728 I also have Blue Cross. Did you have to do a 6 month journal. I haven't met with the surgeon yet as I have to attend a seminar first. However I spoke on the phone with them. I more than qualify. I was just wondering what my wait will be!
  19. There are so many things I am excited! - Shopping for clothes in real stores! - Keeping up with my kids - Not being the "fat mom" - Not looking like I am twice my age because I am heavy
  20. I was really hoping I would not have to do the 6 month wait. I understand the point, but I have been on every diet known to man. Owell it is only 6 months out of my life. I go to my PCP on Weds of next week and they will schedule my sleep apnea test from there as well as some blood work. I can not meet with the surgeon until the next seminar and that isn't until the 21st. They just advised me to get the ball rolling by going to the PCP. I have Highmark BC/BS so there are so many hoops to jump through!
  21. Hi there, I am new as well. I have to attend a seminar on August 21st. Once I do that then I can set up my initial appointment. With my insurance I will have to journal etc.. for six months before they will approve my surgery so I have a bit of a journey.
  22. On March 10 I began my lap band journey. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I am excited to meet people who are going through the same thing.
