Wow!!! So Im four months post op. I have 5 and 3/4 cc in a 10cc band. My last fill was in July but for the last three days I have had the worst left shoulder pain. I went to the doctor and they did a barium test and everything looks great. ' Has anyone gone through this before?

So I have started to loss my hair:crying: I remember seeing Biotin on here does it work? Or are there protien pills? If not they should make them! any suggestions?????????

I was in that stage not to long agao. I would just mix really any thing I could and made it in a soup form. I would blend avocados with lowfat cream cheese , cottage cheese, and chicken broth. Sounds Yuk but it was really good. <---- Like to experiment alot! I would also take tuna, chicken broth, and some mayo and blend the heck out of it! Sorry for not being much help. Good Luck!:smile2:

This will be my first flight with the band let alone in 10 years.:smile2: The reason for the unfill is that I have heard that the cabin pressure can make you extremly tight for a few days and I do not want to be unconfortable during my vacation. Not only that but I will be 1800 miles away from my doctor.:smile:

So I will be traveling to Hickory North Carolina with my husband in December to see his parents. I plan on getting unfilled due to the plane ride. ( his family does noit know I have the band) We will be there for a week should I think about getting a fill while I'm there or just wait til I come back home and go to my normal doctors? Another question? Should I tell his family? This will be during Christmas and I know it will be akward when I sit to Christmas dinner and only eat 1/2c of food. I dont want to offend any one ( they may think I do not like the food) ..... Thanks!

I was banded on April 1 2010. I thought the same thing even after my second fill. I could eat a horse if i wanted to! :smile: I just went in for my third fill on Monday and let me say I know believe I have a band and that they didnt forget to put one in at the time of surgery:blushing: I have lost a total of 34 lbs with 120 to go!:scared2: Give yourself some time and it will work. This is a tool and a LEARNING process. I'm still learning what I can and cannot eat. food I ate last month I can not eat this month. Best of Luck to you. You can always message me if you like! Update! I went to the Doctor on Tuesday. I couldnt take it anymore I was SO Thirsty!!!! as well as not feeling good. I had .5cc removed and WOW what a diiference it makes. I know have restriction and possibly may have found my sweet spot! Thanks guys!:cool:

I was banded April 1st 2010. At first the doctror said no drinking with meals ! This was horribly hard for me. But ....... (every doctor is different) I went for my second fill and the doctor told me that there was a new studying that had taken place. She told me that I could drink with my meals IF i followed this rule. Wait 1 to 2 min before a drink and 15 second after the drink before i can take another bite. This has helped me alot. I am still losing weight and it makes me feel better.

I went in yeterday for my 3rd fill and had 1cc added to 5.8 cc in a 10cc band. I cant even take two tiny sips of water without burping and feeling very uncomfortible! :scared2:Will this go away or should I have some fluid removed?

Hi there! I was banded on April 1 2010. I have had issues with all protien drinks. The insopure is :ohmy: I took one sip and that was enough for me. I did however find that Shamrock farms has a protien drink that is great! it has 20g of protien and made with 2% Milk. They have three flavors , Vanilla, Shrawberry, and Chocolate. They are all great. Taste just like flavored milk. This is what Im sticking with for now.

I am at 5.6 cc in a 10 cc band. just recently I am unable to eat hard pretzels , beef roast , reg pasta , doughy , baked potato chips. I'm still learning tough. I was banded on April 1 2010.

I am tight in the am until about noon. Then I can have a stoffers focacia melt the small one but once dinner comes along anything I eat I start to slime. Liquids go down fine. Its weird. If I eat extremly slow and tiny tiny bites I can eat ALOT. I am waiting for the doctor apointment in a few weeks.

sOOOOOOOOOO I have been banded since April first 2010! Yay! I have lost 30lbs since. My issue is that I can not drink any protien shakes as they make me sick. Low and behold I found that Shamrocks has a milk thingy called Rockin Refuel that has 280 calories and 20g of protien per 12oz. 60% of my daily Calcium has well. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it and what do you think? Started losing my hair so I went into OMG!!!!!!! I need more protien and since I cant eat it I have to drink it.

Hi all Bunnies! I was banded April 1st! I have had ups and downs. I have had one stuck episode and a couple slime (ewww). I had my first fill on April 27 and have felt no restriction . I can still eat bread and Pasta if I chew it really well. It seems I got hungryer right before my next fill which is this Tuesday! Cant wait for restriction! I hope everyone else is doing better then I am.

I could tell I needed a fill since I was hungry and my 1/2 cup was not doing it for me. I had my first fill April 27th the doctor added 2ccs to the 2 I already had in from surgery. I am now not even a week later and could use another fill. My next appointment is 5/18/10 and I cant wait! The fill process was not what I expected. This was so pleasent. The doctor numbed the port area with local and 1. 2 . 3! inserted the needle and hit my port the first time! :thumbup: Best of luck to everyone and I hope everyone is feeling better!:thumbup:

Soooo my wonderful husband gave me the flu. Now I am coughing up what feels like a lung and some times the cough is violent.:thumbup: What can I take. co workers have told me to take alka seltzer because they do not know I have the lapband in place. Any advice? Today is my one month bandaversary:lol:

I alsoill today. I alreay had 2 cc from surgery and they have added 2 ccs more. I dont feel the restriction. :-(

I intialy took two weeks off but ended up taking three. I had the heria repair and was rather still am dealing with two of my for incisions not healing quickly. I work at a hotel so I wanted everything to be closed up at least before I went back.

HI I was in your shoes two days ago. I talked with a family friend and she told me to eat mushie LIFE cereal with skim milk. So I did and that next day TA DA! it worked! I know it sounds weird but it worked for me. WIsh you luck

I went to the doctor today ( mom though incisions were infected. there not!) anyways the doctor told me to go back to chicken broth that the protien shakes were still to thick for me. Also to drink hot liqiuds instead of cold ones.

Im a little tight around the incisions and they are becoming VERY ichy! I have the flinstone chewables maybe I should take those since they have the protien in them. Overall I'm doing good be laying around my moms house were it is less likely for me to get hurt! ( I have five dogs at home) Im going to have to try to get in all my protien some how some way. I'm dying for an egg though :bored: . Congrats to us for starting this journey!

I have a question? I was banded on Thursday April 1st. The doctor wants me to have the protien shake three times a day but I can only manage one. I drank the protien shake at 7 am and was soooooooo uncomfortible for the rest of the day that I just sipped on apple juice. Any suggustions? :bored:
