Thanks girl...yeah it will be worth it!! I can imagine all the nice clothes I've always wanted to get from Bebe and couldn't fit them...lol. I think I can fit their tank tops, but since I don't wear my arms out I didn't bother buying it. I know that sounds crazy, but I can't wait to go in there and buy something! Woohoo!!

:clap2: Congrats on your approval:clap2:...it feels good to know it's gonna happen. I went to a surgeon (Dr. Woodman)that charges 500.00 that I had to pay before getting a surgery date. I went right on and found me another surgeon...I didn't understand why I had to pay a fee for a support group and "other" activities when other support groups are free. Girl you sound like me!! That's why didn't try to diet before I went to my appointments! I just found out that I'm approved today, so it's on now! I started my diet last Saturday so far I'm doing good...but I gotta keep it up. Hang in there! Sheila Be BLESSED!

I am finally approved for the Lap Band!!! Yet still nervous and scared...point blank. I guess it's the whole idea of putting something inside me that do not belong. I feel like I am saying the same things over and over again, but I can't help it. I've had a breast reduction before so it's not the surgery that is bothering me. I don't know...I'm just scared:cry Sheila Be BLESSED!

After a few weeks of waiting I am approved! I was told by Dr. Madan's office that my surgery will be in January. I am excited and nervous (of course) at the same time. There will be a lot for me to think about as January approaches. A change is coming... Be BLESSED!

He said that they fold a small piece of the stomach and stitch it over the band some kind of way. He wasn't referring to the incisions...

One of the surgeons in Dr. Madan's office told me that they stitch the band in place. I read that causes erosion...do anyone know??? Sheila:confused: Be BLESSED!

Hola I feel the same way...I am waiting on approval from UHC and while I'm waiting I am still undecided. I even thought about callin the whole thing off just today! I just don't want anything to happen to my stomach in the long run. I say will stick with my diet and I break it...so that's the main reason I want the band because I feel like I will be extremely cautious about what I eat. That is sooo great!! We have to obey him and pay attention when he speaks to us. I am glad you listened and obeyed...obedience is better than sacrafice. Girl if it wasn't for God's GRACE I wouldn't be typing this...he is so faithful! I stand on his word and expect all his promises to too come to pass! Hello everyone, I started on Adipex on 12/2, but before I started Adipex I was watching what I ate. So last night I weighed and "my" scale said 242! I'm thinking that can't be correct...but it is! I guess since I've been a little more discipline lately and exercising along with the Adipex it's starting to show. Oh by the way I am taking only half of the Adipex a day (it's too strong). So I updated my ticker for the first time!!! I hope I keep it up!:clap2: Sheila Be BLESSED!

I called UHC just to check the status of my claim and I was told that it is being reviewed and I should have an anwser this week. I hope so, because I am ready to get going!! I have started on Adipex and I feel a lot better! I am eating very little a day (a little over 600 calories a day). Thank God...just wanted to give you an update. Sheila Be BLESSED!

Hey girl I know exactly how you feel! I wake up every night feeling like what in the world is wrong with me!!! I am sooo HUGE!! On Fridays I can wear jeans to work and I wear dress pants, because I can't fit in any of my JEANS!!!!! So I said today I am gonna start on the Atkins diet (had great results before), but nooooo I just had to mess up before getting started! It will get better girl...we still FINE!!! Okaaay!!! You sound like me!! Even though my claim is pending with United Health Care I was thinking last night that even when it is approved I still have time to decide if I will have the surgery. However the only thing that will change my mind about the surgery is if I get pregnant. Other than that I'm havng it done! So good luck with your decision! Sheila
