I followed a diet kinda until I got good restriction. It consisted mostly of lean proteins and green veggies (cooked). My weakness has and still is chocolate candy and ice cream, so I had those things but only a serving. Until I reached my sweet spot I had to make sure I was getting my protein in everyday. That helped me to stay fuller longer. Also I walked 30min a day and drank lots of water.

168???? That is totally awesome!!! I'm right behind you. I think if I got a tummy tuck, I'd be there with you. How far til goal? Congrats. keep me posted.

You commented on one of my pictures. If it is any encouragement to you, I would like to tell you that I didn't lose any weight...not even a pound in my first month post-op. I believe I was eating too much mashed potatoes. My surgeon didn't worry because he informed me that the first month was about your body healing itself. Until you reach your sweet spot, you may eat more than you want to.

I work in Fort Bend. Did you ever work there? Are you having ups and downs with the band or the children/school?

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a little rough time with the band, I hope it get better from here on out.

I don't know why I never befriended you after all this time....reading your posts and using the advise you provide.

I am happy with my success so far. I often think about how my life has changed in six months. I know that I would have probably gained a few pounds by now if I hadn't had the surgery so I'm grateful for any weightloss even when it has it's slow moments.

I was reading your post on Shonette's page. Did I understand correctly? You had a fill today and your doc lets you eat regular food on the day of your fill? Lucky you! I am getting my fourth fill tomorrow and I already know I'll be on liquids for the next two days.

Hello, thanks for the compliments. You were banded almost a year ago right? Just go back to the following basics.
Stick to these reminders:
eat protein (it keeps you fuller longer and is the greatest with weight loss)
get rid of items with simple carbs and simple sugars (they spike your blood, giving you the energy spurt that dissipates quickly and makes you tired and sluggish so you can't make it to workout)
drink water, fill up on it..
if it doesn't come from a mother, don't eat it (stay away from processed quick to eat foods)
don't buy it!!! If it's not in the house, you can't eat it
don't be too hard on yourself, if you fall off, get back on again!!!
visit your doctor for possible adjustments!
Be kind to yourself!

Well, I didn't make it to 199 by 08/06, but it's okay. I went from 208 to 205.4 in a week. It's a relief because I have been at 208 since 06/30. Thanks for all of your encouragement.

Yeah, My bf was banded in November of last year. Her BMI wasn't that high but she had diabetes. I'm not sure if she is strongly considering the advocate career with True Results but she mentioned it to me.

Welcome! I am more than glad to share any of my experiences with you. My bff was banded too so we both have bands to compare and other things.
