  1. Well maybe a little prep, but think about how good it will be in the end for you!! Campbell has real good soups. Try a couple to see if you like them.
  2. Aggiemom , I'm sure you will do wonderful!! I was naturally nervous laying in the OR waiting to "count to 10" but SO happy with my decision. First dr visit tomorrow and we'll see if my diet changes at all. I have never been looking forward to cream soup so much!!
  3. I agree with Michael about my choice as well. Although I did have a band, it was not working for me.
  4. Hello AtlantaRed!! Just sleeved last Wednesday!! Going good, banded June 09. Made the switch after loosing WAY to much too fast and regaining all my weight except 30 lbs. . Took me awhile to make the decision to go under the knife for the second time in my life. Have a fantastic surgery in CT @ Yale. Thanks for having this feed!
  5. Mike, Dr Duffy is great. I have Dr Roberts. E did my band and sleeve last week. You are in good hands with that group!!
  6. So far so good. Soar from the normal stuff, trying to get up etc. still get tired real quick and I'm not used I that!! Not hungry at all which is a good sign...
  7. Hi Ericka! I'm in hamden. Band in 09, sleeve last Wednesday @ Yale. How are you doing with the change?
  8. Hi I'm Kate. I had lap band in 09 and just sleeved 12-11-13 @ Yale. Dr Roberts did both. Fantastic work in each surgery.
  9. I forgot, how about cream soups?? Cream of broccoli, cream of mushroom, cream of potato...
  10. Do you like hummus?? That was the easy part for me to decide. Black beans, kidney beans, all are ok puréed. Try to stay away of what you KNOW is bad. Like the mashed.... Once you fun something you enjoy, stick with the usual. Broth, some canned veggies( since there soft) tuna fish, can fruits. I hope you find something to enjoy!!
  11. Had mine on Wednesday. You'll do great!!
  12. 12-11-13 had my band removed and sleeve done. Home and feeling better everyday. I didn't think I would be full like I am. I believe this was the much better option for me. Still on liquids, and post op appt this week. Trust me, it couldn't get any worse for me!!
  13. Hello to both of you. I was banded in June of 09 and have been fine untill this past November. I have EXTREME restriction, I think, durning my period. Not even liquids stay down. Sometimes there is a window durning that time when I can keep down a slimfast or ensure. I will be going to see my surgeon next Monday to ask him to loosen me. Hopefully that's my issue. But I know where you are comming from with the vomiting everyday. For a whole week that is my routine, and I wanted to know if you had any suggestions?
  14. I have that too but my problems revolve around my period. I can't eat at all and am nauseas all the time. That's when I hear the gremlin in my tummy. And it's not quiet either!
  15. JoJo- Sometimes the liquids don't even stay down. I barely eat anything during that time as it is. I'm seeing my doc as soon as I get home(in FL) so I hope I haven't ruined anything inside and only need to take a little fluid out. PS. my period is at least a week!
  16. I had my band done June of 08 and untill this december i have felt fine. i noticed that when "that time of the month" comes I can't keep anything down. I have this foam that I spit up frim being so nauseas. And I can't keep any food down. Some days are ok and I get in whatever I can for for food. But I haven't gotten a fill in about 3 months!! My doc said I was loosing too much per week so after my 3rd fill I didn't go for another yet. Does anyone know what this is like?
