    I'm SCARED to eat!!!

I can't wait for salad also! My doc advised not to eat salad for 3 months
  2. I had my surgery exactly 4 weeks ago. I've been feeling great; the only complaint I have is fatigue. I've been jogging for 6 days now, and today I started feeling guilty about not lifting weights. So today after my jog, I started to doing lat rows (40 lbs), that went fine; then I did one set of seated rows (40 lbs). Only then did I remember I'm not supposed to be doing any lifting over 15lbs! I totally forgot! I stopped immediately once I remembered. I felt a slight throbbing pain on my left side of my tummy. It gradually went away. Then I started drinking my Water and the pain returned (nothing very severe, 4 out of 10). I'm terrified of a leak and I want to know if anyone else had any similar experiences or words of wisdom. I will not be lifting any weights again, I can't believe how dumb I am sometimes.

    When did you stall?

I am out 25 days. I was down 17 lbs but gained back 3lbs in the last two days. Go figure, the last two days I actually started jogging again (2.5 miles) and I gain weight. Oh well, I'm sure it won't last:confused1:

    Hey Hey!

I had my sleeve done on June 7th also. The past couple of nights, I believe I had the same "ball" in chest symptom. It comes and goes in waves and is worse in the middle of the night. I too thought it was gas or acid, but I'm having that pain now and I took my Zegerid 2 hours ago. It feels like a big bubble that is expanding in the chest that comes and goes frequently. Any ideas?

    Colds vs hot

The coffee mix goes down easier than any lukewarm water or protein for me. I only have had a cup a day. It's my favorite thing at this moment!

    Colds vs hot

I got sleeved the 7th, and I too prefer hot/warm liquids. My favorite non-protein liquid is General Foods International french vanilla cafe (it's sugar free and decaffeinated) and is ohhh sooo good! I've been searching through the comments of the new sleevers and have been suprised how well all of you are doing. I must admit the pain is not too bad, but I feel like poop. It's getting better though. Anyone getting winded easily?

    June Surgery anyone?

I'm having the surgery one week from today!! So excited, nervous, and scared. June 7th is my day with Dr Patel San Antonio. I've been on this website nonstop. Guess this will be my new addiction

    Scared to death!

Wow! What a great blog. I too was supposed to have surgery on Monday the 15th, but decided to postpone the surgery until May. My main concern was leaving my 15 month old motherless also. I think when it gets closer to your surgery, all the awful thoughts come flooding in, but you got to have faith! Good luck to you, hope to see you on the losers bench in May.

    8 days until surgery, scared

By the way, health reasons aren't the only reasons I'm postponing the surgery. Long story short, my husband is military and we are living 1200 miles away from our home which is being rented. We just decided to sell our home while the tax credit is in effect and I'm worried about money. I am paying for my surgery with cash.

    8 days until surgery, scared

Thank you so much for your comments! I really appreciate the feedback. I really believe that you all are great mentors and are a blessing for a lot of us on this site. I believe that I am going to wait until this semester of school is over to make my final decision. I was rushing this decision simply to have it done over spring break while I'm not in school, but now I am going to continue on the pre-op diet (I've already lost 14lbs, only 60 more to go). I will be on this site continuously like others are, watching the blogs and praying for the best for everyone!

    8 days until surgery, scared

I have been feeling pretty good about my decision to have the sleeve done, until last night. It just hit me; this is irreversable. I can't take it back. What are the long term consequences? No one knows. These questions of doubt started when I read the blog about stomach cancer. Oh boy, did that get my over anxious mind working! I am not sure what I am going to do. I have got myself so scared that I am very seriously thinking about not doing the surgery at all which is very, very disappointing to me. I encourage anyone who reads this blog to please give me your two cents, as I am so close to surgery. Thanks!

    reconsidering lap band

Hi everybody! I moved here to TX where the eatin's good and the waistline has expanded. Quick story bout me, I had lost 100 lbs on my own 13 yrs ago. Kept it all off for 10 yrs. Now I've had a son, 14mo old now, and I've gained 80 lbs back:mad0:. Can't get it off on my own this time, so I was going to have Lap-band. I had a consult last night with my doctor and he seems to think vertical sleeve is the way to go. My BMI is 34. I have been trying to find some of the disadvantages, but all the comments on here are sooo positive. Not that I don't hope for the best, but I would like to know about some of the bad things that could go wrong or have gone wrong for the few with bad outcomes. Anybody have any comments?
