Well hello to the story of my life. I was banded Oct 2006. I lost 40lbs and got preggo. Continued to lose during pregnancy. Ended up with healthy baby and down almost 100lbs! Woohoo. Then baby #2 had a slight unfill and bam hallo healthy baby and all 100lbs! Lmao. I just had the sleeve revision and hernia repair May 25,2016. I had mucho swelling after procedure so the first couple of days were probably worse than normal. I am now on my 5th day post surgery. Drinking all liquids with no problem whatsoever. I'm good with at least 4 hours a week. I think we should start the week of January 5th. That way it is at the beginning of the week instead of the middle. How about we end it on Feb 15th, that gives us 6 weeks.

I'm in!!! I was down a total of 90lbs, but gained back about 8 over the holidays and with my temp unfill. But good news is no reflux. I am going to go to the dr next month to get filled back up. So I am up for the challenge. I would like to lose at least the 8 I gained back. Lets do it!!!!

Oh and by the way, I am taking my husband on a surprise trip for our birthday to New York 11-20/11-24. I got me a pair of hooker boots.....lol...you know the knee high black boots that i am going to wear with my new dress. First time ever I have had boots that would fit my calves...haha. Anyone ever been to NY or have suggestions of where to visit.

Hey, I'm still here. I'm trying to make an effort to get everyone back.....lol Good News: No more reflux Bad News: He took out 4ccs....lol He said leave it out for a couple of weeks to let things heal or settle down, and then we would start slow with the fills. I have been trying to control my eating. Damn I forgot how hard it was...lol. Oh well, trying to eat as much salad as possible, cause i don't want to gain any weight back. I just bought new clothes size 12..woohoo....lmao. :laugh:

Mom came thru surgery just fine. She had a hernia repair also. She says the liquid diet is killing her.....lol....i remember those days....glad they are over. I went to have a barium swallow done today and it shows that I have reflux....big surprise, i could have told them that. I am going to be scheduled for a endoscopy to see if I too have a hernia. Wouldn't surprise me with all the throwing up i did when I was prego. I am waking up almost every night with reflux...it sucks. I am probably going to go get a total unfill within the next couple of weeks to see how that helps and to have the test done.

okay down 90lbs wooohooo. who would have ever thought. Well I am sitting in the same waiting room that my mom sat in 2 years ago waiting on me to come out of surgery, but this time, I am waiting on her. Yes thats right, She is joining us on our band adventures!! I am so excited for her. She is in recovery room as we speak. Can't wait to see her.

On a lighter note, I am down 88lbs and am now able to walk into a regular dept. store and buy a size 14 jeans...wooohooo. The people in the dressing room must have thought I was crazy when I went to try them on and then screamed when the first pair fit....lol

Threebeauties, yes, i live down here in the Houston area, Thank you so much for your thoughts. I am okay, I was lucky, only lost power for several hours unlike some of my friends who are still without. Things are going slowly around here as far as cleanup, but they are going.

I am scheduled to have surgery on Oct. 13th and I was wondering if anyone had gotten pregnant after having surgery (after the 12 to 18 month grace period of course) If so, how did your pregnancy go, any complications?

I answered my own question 2 years later. I had a baby boy 4-18-08. Healthy as can be. I was sick for 9 mths, threw up almost everyday, not because of the band, just one of those crazy prego things. Have since lost lots of weight.

Jim sorry to hear you are having a hard time, I would recommend what I did, but I don't think it can happen for you...I got prego.....lol....lost 17lbs during pregnancy, of course i was sick for 9mths, threw up almost every day and couldn't get enough salad...lol... and now i guess my metabolism has changed, cause I am shedding pounds like crazy. I am so glad that all you guys are back on, I miss talking to everyone. Congrats losingjustme on the bun in the oven. Jim, stick with it. I promised myself I would start excersicing when I hit 220, now i am at 192 and i still havent kept my promise to myself. As soon as it gets cooler here in Texas, I will be walking the block.:tt2:

Hello everyone, I guess I will give an update also. I am down 80lbs woohooo. I had the baby on April 18, he was about a month early, but was in good health. Ended up having a c-section.. woohoo more surgery, but he was worth it. I hope everyone is doing well!!:tt2:

Hello Everyone, I know it has been a very long time since I have posted anything, hope yall remember me. I have been doing well. I am now 31 weeks pregnant and havent gained a pound...lol. As a matter of fact I have lost 15lbs while being pregnant. The bouncing baby boy in my tummy is doing wonderful. I think he is eating my thighs, which is fine by me. So my overall weight loss has been put on hold until after May 10, which is my due date. I just wanted to let yall know that you can have a healthy pregnancy with the band. I have not had an unfill at all. Dr said no need unless I begin to have problems. I am glad to see all of yall are doing well. Talk to yall soon!

Okay so I am finally losing again....lol. I got a fill, or what i thought was a fill on 5/3 of 2ccs. The nurse that usually does my fills was out of town, so the Doctor did it. I thought it felt funny, but hey, he's the doc. So the next couple of days i was like, "man i can eat more then i could before i went in". Needless to say i went back in on 5/8 and had my regular nurse unfill it it see how much i had...lol. I had .5ccs less then when i originally went in. Seems the Doc didn't hit the port for the fill....lol. For four days i was thinking i was crazy...heheehe. So i have 8.5ccs in my band now and i can feel it. I am so happy the scale moved down. I hope this gives me the boost i need.

Mary, I 'm glad to here that you are still with us!! Best Wishes and I will keep praying for you. Jimboss, thats great, before long you will catch up with me....lol. I go to the doctor tomorrow at 8:30am for a fill. Can't wait to here him say how much better i would be doing if i excercised....lol. NAG, NAG, NAG....LOL

Hello everyone, Long time no talk to. Well i am not doing so well, i have been watching the scale go down and then up, and then down, and then up. I have to say that it sucks. I am feeling like a failure. I go back to the doctor next week. I havent been doing any excercise. I have it stuck in my mind that until i get down to 230, i'm not excercising. Is that wrong. I just know how bad that sounds. My knees suck from previous surgeries and they swell up like basketballs if i try to do anything. I dread going to the doctor next week because my weight lose for 2 months is like 4lbs...lol. Anyway, i'm getting another fill. I told him we would see how the last one went and this is what i got. I can damn near eat everything and in mass quanities...lol. it sucks. Oh well. Hope everyone is doing good.

Okay so I'm down another pound, and you say, so whats so big about that?.......I'm in the 240's...lol...yipee. Okay so its not much, but it is a step, and plus i was tired of looking at the 5 in the 250's.....lol. Its nice to see a new number. Jimboss congrats on 31 years, wow. I'm am just hanging in there at 1.5 years...lol. I don't know how you did it, but congrats....lol. You know, nobody ever tells you the truth when your about to get married. They say, Oh Marriage is wonderful, and you will enjoy it. I think it is about time to tell the truth to newlyweds....lol. Tell them....It ain't no cake walk...lol. It takes years of learning to adjust your life with someone else living with you. lol. Anyway, I do love my husband, but its just hard merging two different lives. Blah Blah Blah....lol So we are going out of town this evening for a week. Not on vacation or anything, going for a seminar on how not to kill your spouse....lol j/k. I love my husband....
