So I went to see my surgeon the week before last, and I found out that I have a hernia right next to my big incision site, and now it's starting to really show more than before, as I loose more weight it shows more, so I don't wear anything that is tighter unless it's my undershirt. We spoke about it, and he suggests that I wait till I have lost all my weight to have it fixed? That means 60-70 more lbs before that happens? I don't know it looks funny???
-
Super happy I got this surgery, and that more and more people are supporting me. I am here back to work today after surgery this past wednesday and feel good so far, but I am sure the tired feeling will come on at some point.
-
Feeling good today, I slept really good last night and I am pumped for the day!!! Whose with me????
-
I feel so skinny today and I have 99lbs to go? LOL

LOL, I know what you mean!!! Today I put on one of the pairs of pants that I love to wear cause they are the skinny jeans, and I like the way I feel or felt in them till today, I feel them sagging everywhere I even have to wear a belt with them and they still feel like they are falling off? I am like what the heck???? lol
-
Ok, so today is 3 weeks out, I have lost some weight, and inches, I can feel it in my cloths. My hubbyman says I walk different? LOL I don't know????

@BladeFox, Yeah that is what I am still looking at my "0's" too. I am still debating what my final goal is going to be, cause originally it was to get the 150, but I don't know if that will be too small for my height? I am 5'8" and I don't want to look sick when I get down to that point, so when I get down closer to that point I will see how the final is going to be. Most people tell me I am wasting away now, lol but I know I can't stay at the point I am at now cause I am still in the obese column of the BMI Graph, I am 15lbs away from the overweight part of the graph, and for my height anywhere between 120-160 is the healthy range, so we shall see, 150 will be half of my original weight though that is why I picked that number when I started?
-
Getting into that overweight category is wonderful!!! I didn't have as much to lose so I hit it pretty quickly but it still felt great. I set my initial goal on the high end of a BMI of 25 but I'll see when I get there if I want to go lower or not. Now that I'm at 49 lost (can't seem to knock off that next pound to say 50) I'm FINALLY starting to get comments about how much weight I've lost. Seems it took everyone a LONG time to start commenting! lol
You're doing great!
-
@Ginger Snaps, it does feel good to get those comments doesn't it. I think I didn't start getting them till I was around 50lbs down, so don't worry it's just peoples perception of you isn't due to your weight, or they see you everyday, which is good, but wait till you see people that you haven't seen in a while, I have a birthday party for my brother on the 20th and I haven't seen anyone that will be there for probably close to 8+ months, so the last time they saw me I was pre surgery, lol so they aren't going to recognize me now??? lol no they will cause my face still looks the same just I am 1/3 the person I was??? LOL Just keep positive amp up your exercise or change it up a little and you will get that 50!!!

A can of onion soup. its not creamed. put the burgers in a crock pot poor in the soup and let it simmer for a while. not so long that the burgers break up. it gives them a nice flavor and they will be soft enough to eat. let me know what you think. i guess you can also simmer it in a skillet. but since my were frozen i let them simmer in the crock pot

Sorry you are in the ER!! I hope it is nothing serious. I couldn't believe it when you said you were going back to work so soon. I just returned to work 12 days post opt and it is exhausting and painful to the muscles on the incision site. I know it gets better every day but when you have to work it is still not fast enough.

Woohoo, This morning is a good morning, I haven't been posting very much lately cause I have been on this stall for about a month and I was frustrated, then to wake up this morning and weigh in and I lost 5 lbs to get into ONEDERLAND!!! Woohoo, 199 baby!!!

@BigGirlPanties I am telling you, you won't ever eat regular Spaghetti again!!! I was skeptical at first but when I tried it, I was like holy S#%t, this is good, and so easy!! Plus it's good for you, I can't eat pasta at all, it doesn't do well in my tummy so I needed this!! I got mine at Walgreen's, and I have seen it at Walmart too. The person who told me about it got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond? So it's around. Just in case!!!

Looking forward to this beautiful weekend we are going to be having!!!!

So I lost only a pound this past week? Well a pound loss is a pound I didn't have before!!! I am staying in a positive mood about any loss because it's not a gain, and I am not going to go back to where I was!!!

Thanks pinkpolkadot!!! I can't speak for blade, but I know going through this transformation I have found that I want to help others loose the weight, I have instilled the changes in my home too, and my son is only 9 but he is a heavy kid right now and we are working on that so that as he gets older he doesn't go through everything I have growing up and being a heavy kid.
-
Tomorrow is 3 weeks Post op and I am a little discouraged at how slow the weight is coming off as I had a horrible start to all this?
-
8 months post op today and I have currently lost 101 lbs, It's exciting to get down this low in less than a year!!! I look forward to having a healthy life now not a overweight one!!!
-
Monday, back to work, lets see how I handle this week. I am in hopes thursday comes fast!!!
-
At my goal weight and just waiting now to have my skin removal!!! Wouldn't change anything I went through in this experience for anything, cause it made me who I am now, and I am very happy with who I am right now!!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I wouldn't settle just cause I wasn't loosing. I decided on the bypass because when I was talking to my doctor he was trying to get me to do the sleeve, and he said if I don't loose all the weight and or it didn't work for me I could still go through and have the bypass? So at that point I was like why am I going to put myself through all that and so I just went straight for the final product and got the bypass. I am not going to go through one surgery and then have to have another one cause I couldn't loose all the weight on the first one? That was not my deal. I am very happy with my outcome, not everyone has the same outcome though, so just cause I did doesn't mean anything? I just really stuck to it and got to where I am now and I still stick to it. I have my little slips here and there but the sugar is out of my life forever. I don't mess around with that, I hate how it makes me feel and I don't want to deal with that?
-
Thanks for that insight. I knew that with the bypass that sugar was out forever for most bypass people and I had tortured myself with the Atkins plan long enough to realize that saying no to certain things is not up my alley. I have to be able to slip without it making me sick, I mean I still get sick with fish, bread and oil, but a finger down the throat seems to do it most times. When I was on Atkins, I gave up sugar and when I got off, I needed it like a crack head. That wasn't the route for me and the bypass wasn't and probably still isn't. I just wish I had the motivation to get all of my weight off like I started off with. I lack motivation. I haven't gained an ounce, but stuck at where I left off due to lack of motivation. I think it will come back when I have had enough, just not there yet and still going through a lot of employment stresses doesn't help either. Can't wait to get my head in the game again!
-
You will get there, just don't let yourself go back to where you were, cause then the motivation really won't be there? I have been lacking motivation lately too, I don't know why, I don't go to the gym anymore, I don't get out and walk I go home from work and just want to crawl into bed and stay there for the night? Im not depressed or atleast I don't feel it, I just am always tired lately? I don't know what is wrong with me and but I did just go to my thyroid doctor and she upped my meds and that is making me feel wicked hungry the past few days but that is cause the meds are making my matabolism ramp up? I am wondering if that is why I am tired too though? I don't know. Bypass isn't for everyone and the whole sugar thing I am actually happy about cause that was my biggest issue? So now I just don't even bother going near it. I can have a small small bite but nothing bigger?

Call your insurance company and ask them what the requirements are to have it done!!! If it's a medical necessity they need to cover it. Like what I want done, the skin folds over and I get yeast infections, and sores under the folds so that is why I want it done, and it could become open sores so that would make it a medical necessity. I will say that what I want done is only $4000, so if my insurance were to not pay for it, I would save up the money and pay for it out of pocket!!!
-
2 lbs away from 40 lbs, and tomorrow is I guess what you would consider 2 months out cause I had my surgery on the 19th, but it was a wednesday and tomorrow is a wednesday and 9 weeks past? I don't care, but I am super excited that I am close to 40 lbs down!!!
-
Yay!!! I did it!!! I was curious this morning about how much I'm down to and I hit my 50 lbs down and I'm so happy about it too!!! Will check in again now on Thursday my 3 month mark!!!!

Got a new tattoo that symbolizes "New Beginnings" last night, and that is what I believe with this procedure I have new beginnings going on in my life and I am happy with it all!!!!

BigGirlPanties, that is a zoon over the anchor, it's a warrior symbol for new beginnings. The tattoo was a cover-up, I did the dumb mistake of putting someones name on me, dumb dumb, never do that again, and so anyway I got this to represent my new beginnings with my Bypass, my new life with the guy I am engaged to, and forgetting the past!!! I have quite a few also, my whole top of my right arm is covered all the way around, I have a one on my foot, my calf, my ankle, my neck, all across my back, behind my ear, and more to come, I couldn't care if I was covered by the time I am old, I love it, and I will love it forever no matter how wrinkled I get. LOL I never really thought I would get a whole lot of ink but I fell in love the minute that needle hit my back on my first tattto? I have been hooked ever since. My fiance's brother is a tattoo artist so I get them from him?

Walked the Big E last night, and man it felt good to be able to be on my feet for 6 hours and not feel it in my feet the way I used to, but man my knees and hips are so sore today, Bone on bone never feels good after 6 hours?
