  3. Hi! I saw your message to SanDiegoUberMom and thought I would chime in. How are you doing in the decision process? My opinion is if you can and have lost a significant amount of weight in the past but never really kept it off the band may be right for you. At this point I would say its 50% band 50% my effort.

But if you are morbidly obese and have many other related health problems then a major procedure may be more appropriate.Thats just my two cents...PS I went to Dr. Oliak in Orange and I LOVE him and his staff!

  4. anyone had surgery under Anthem Blue Cross? I have been hearing that alot of insurance Co are making you do a medically supervised program for up to 6 months before they will approve the surgery. Does anyone know if this is the case for Anthem Blue Cross? I already did WW for almost 8 months and have verif of that but I don't think that is concidered medically supervised. Anyone?
  5. Hi everyone, I'd like to join the group if I may. I am pre-op right now, just went to orientation on Sat and will be faxing over all paper work to get started for authorization this week. I am stiil flip flopping on having lap-band or RY bi-pass. If you had to do it again and had a choice would it still be the Lap-Band? I am located in the South Bay area of San Diego (imperial beach area). I work during the day M - F is there any way we can have meetings once in a while either in the evening or on a weekend morning so those of us who work a 9-5er can join?
