  1. I need to try that. I'm always hungriest in the morning instead of at night.
  2. Okay my weight has been so up and down. Before I got pregnant this last time I got to 174 and I was wearing 14's. The day I found out I was pregnant I was 196 and was wearing a size 16. I kept those jeans b/c the 14's were really my favorites. They were 100% cotton with no spandex or stretch in them. Here's the thing though I'm now 191 and I can't even wear the 16's:( They won't button and I know it's b/c my stomach and my weight is just in a different spot now but it's depressing me. I have some Old Navy jeans that I just bought in a 14 that are now too big but I still can't wear the old stuff hanging in my closet. When I try it on I get dissapointed that it doesn't fit. Should I just donate to someone and stop worrying with it? Or keeping losing and try to wear them again? Don't get me wrong I've lost like 35 pounds and I'm really happy with that I'm just confused as to why I'm such a different size now.
  3. Well my weight is holding steady at 191. I just can't seem to get into the 180's. I've had a cold for the last week though so no exercise for me. I'm puffing on my Advair inhaler just so I can breath sitting down. Hopefully in a few days I can at least start walking again.
  4. I searched around online and found a free shipping code for bare necessities.com. I ended up paying $20 with tax and shipping for mine and it arrived in 3 days.
  5. I should add it's a pain to adjust at first but once you get it adjusted to fit you it's great!!
  6. I must say this is the dumbest post I've read on LBT, No wait the second dumbest. I have read one even dumber than this if you can imagine. There must be something terribly wrong with me b/c when my fill level is right I'm not hungry or hungry or hungry, hungry, hungry.
  7. Well my surgeon says that if you have the right amount of fill that you WON"T be able to eat enough solid protein to get your daily requirements. The Low Carb Slim Fast is similar in stats to the Atkins shakes. I did look for them and the only place that has them is my local Sam's club. I'm not sure I want to try 24 cans at one time though. LOL
  8. I found this belt advertised in a local magazine. It's called the Invisibelt. I have to wear a belt every day now to hold my pants up but I hate the bulge I get from the belt buckle. This works perfectly though. I just thought I'd share in case you ladies are interested:) http://www.invisibelt.com/TheBelt.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc I'm in no way affiliate with this company I just LOVE this belt! It definitely keeps me looking slimmer.
  9. These shakes are getting the best of me. I'm getting bored with the taste and I don't always have time to make them. I found Slim Fast Lower Carb shakes and their nutrition info and ingredients look similar to Atkins shakes but then my surgeon says any Protein from Wal Mart is crap and not good quality. What do you guys think? Here's a link:
  10. Yes you can do Weight Watchers with a band and it's very successful as long as your getting your daily protein in.
  11. Could you add unflavored protein powder to cold greek yogurt or would it curdle and get lumpy? Have you guys every tried this?
  12. Those are all good ideas. Also check with your HR department. They can tell you if your employer for sure dropped bariatric coverage.
  13. I feel almost like I have air trapped in or above my band. Does that make sense? My band even feels a little tighter today than normal is that why I'm burping? It's not painful just annoying.
  14. I have problems eating chicken, it's just too dry, but I have some boneless skinless chicken breast that I need to use up. Do you guys have any ideas on how to cook them up so they will be moist?
  15. I can't wait to have my tummy tuck but I have to get closer to my goal weight first. It's entirely possible that having all that skin removed will actually put you at goal. As for the scars I was told if you do a full TT it will take care of any scars and marks that are below the belly button.
  16. I'm glad you posted this! I am losing very slowly but my restriction isn't lasting. I have 6 CC's in a 10 CC band and my surgeon says most people hit their sweet spot at 5.5 so I've been feeling a little defeated over that. I am hoping to get more next week.
  17. Can u get stuck just from eating too fast or is getting stuck always due to not chewing well enough? I ask b/c in the last 2 weeks I've gotten stuck on a slice of deli ham and on a taco. inormally eat that stuff with no problems.
  18. I have had a lot of surgeries and the Lap Band surgery was nothing for me painwise but then my gallbladder was nothing either. It's really not bad at all.
  19. What do they use to sweeten them with since there are no sugar alcohols? I'm curious now and I think I'll try them out. Thanks!
  20. I was banded in August. I will definitely be having a couple of drinks tonight. I've never, ever liked beer though. My drink of choice now is Diet Cranberry juice with Coconut Rum.
  21. I've only been banded since August but I wish I would have done it sooner!
  22. I prefer Protein bars to help boost my protein intake but the sugar alcohols in them really mess my stomach up. Is there a brand without the sugar alcohols?
  23. I guess the difference is my surgeon says if I can eat more than one cup of food than I need a fill but he also says If I'm losing I don't need a fill. I can and do eat more than 1 cup of food and I think that's why I'm stuck and can't get below 190 but I'm not sure.
  24. Congratulations!! Way to go for sticking it out and filing an appeal.
  25. I had a lot of issues with my body before I had WLS. With my first pregnancy I had pre eclampsia and I gained 80 pounds. 40 of it was just fluid/water weight. It caused me to have stretch marks on my thighs, stomach and the backs of my arms. I also have saggy skin around my thighs from it and my stomach is droopy. Anyway for the longest I was so upset about it and then dh had a long talk with me and basically told me he really didn't care. I was still beautiful and I needed to get past it and stop worrying over it. Well now after 3 kids and Lap Band surgery. I'm starting to wonder what I'll really look like when I hit my goal weight. I told dh I'd like a tummy tuck and a boob job when I reach goal and he is fine with that but I'm worried about how my thighs and arms will look. I can't afford all over PS and I'm worried what dh will think. Part of me thinks he won't care if I have saggy skin but part of me worries about it and you know what's worse? I can't even talk to him about it b/c I'm thinking he may never even notice or focus on the saggy skin as long as I don't point it out so maybe I should just shut up. What got this started you ask? A friend of mine lost 100 pounds with Lap Band and she showed me her thighs and OMG. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't even saggy skin it was like she lost fat in some places and not in others so her thighs are a saggy pooly lumpy mess. I know I will have saggy skin b/c of what I've already seen with my pregnancies. Then I remember watching this show once on TLC where this lady had WLS. She got to her goal weight and her dh divorced her b/c he said she looked disgusting and he couldn't get past the hanging skin. BLAH! And people think WLS is so easy.
