  1. Congrats girl! FYI I swear 99.9% of jeans now have stretch in them. When you buy those type be careful. Most times if they fit comfortably when goiter them on then 2 hours after wearing them they will be big and baggy from the stretch factor. If you buy em tight then they are usually perfect after a couple of hours.
  2. Sorry, yeah ours is an FSA. I'm going to call them today and see what they say about vitamins. It can't hurt to ask right?
  3. I know what you mean:) My 4 year old dd waits till I'm naked and then tries to open the dressing room door
  4. Have you had any luck with getting them to pay for any of your Vitamins, Protein powders or gym memberships? I know mine says in certain circumstances they cover those things and we have a LOT to use up before December 31 otherwise we will lose it. So I thought, Hmm I wonder if they would really cover any of that. Anybody have experience with this?
  5. I'm thinking a 16 for pants but maybe a 2X for tops since you have a lot of boobage:)
  6. The average is $5500 depending on what you want. A mini tuck is only $4500 but they don't take off as much skin that way.
  7. Standard way here with nothing to numb the skin. IMO it really doesn't hurt so it's no big deal.
  8. Yes it is so simple and it works perfectly. I LOVE mine!
  9. If so who did you use? Was it a good experience? Would you use them again?
  10. LOL! Like you I assumed the same thing but I want to be sure:)
  11. Do you keep trying to eat even though it's not going down good? If so you may have caused swelling which will make it ten times worse. Try nothing but liquids for a few days and then try mushy foods and see how it goes.
  12. Monica I have that problem every time I get a fill now. It takes me 7-10 days before all my swelling subsides and I can eat normally again. I'm almost at my goal weight. I won't make it by my 1 year band anniversary but I will make it:) I have an appt in a few weeks for a tummy tuck consult. I'm scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.
  13. I have contacted the doctor that all my friends are using, I'm just waiting to hear back. According to my insurance he is still in network with them so we will see.
  14. I posted this several months ago but I wanted to repost it just in case. I was looking for a belt to wear since my pants were getting a little too big and I found this: http://www.invisibelt.com/TheBelt.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc It's adjustable so it will fit for a long time and looks perfectly smooth under your clothing. The only down side I found is it smells funny for a while but eventually the smell goes away.
  15. LOL!! Love it!
  16. Woo Hoo!! Way to go girl:))
  17. I can't believe they didn't check it out further to make sure your port wasn't flipped. That's crazy.
  18. All my banded friends have used this one surgeon that is 45 miles from me. I didn't use him because he wasn't in my insurance network. My surgeon does not do fills under flouro and he only sees patients on Monday and Tuesday. Even when I was really tight and needed an unfill I had to wait till the following Monday. In his opinion your NEVER too tight unless you can't swallow your own saliva. If I have an issue I get put through to a nurse who most of the time can't help me. Off topic a bit, but the last time I was there he took a call from the nurse at the hospital where I could hear him. He had done a totally different surgery on a patient and the nurse was having issues, he told her he was sorry, but he was not coming back over that day, she would have to wait until the next morning. I was like Now the surgeon my friends use, he will see them any day of the week for an unfill. They have his personal cell phone number to call in case of a problem- and yes, he actually answers it. He is also certified as a Bariatric surgeon of excellence, while mine is not. Is my surgeon really that bad or is he the norm? How does your surgeon treat you?
  19. Okay I'm feeling much better this morning:) I am sore though from yesterday. My chest is a little sore and when I burp it sort of hurts my band for a second. Almost like as it comes up through my band it hurts for a sec and then it's gone. Normal soreness I'm assuming? I'm taking liquid Advil to see if that will help with it. My meds and liquids are going down fine though.
  20. Oh and no reflux or heartburn.
  21. My surgeon doesn't use flouro. My last fill was 9 days ago. Since then I've been able to eat small amounts of soft foods- which is normal for me post fill. Yesterday I had my shakes just fine and soup. When I threw up last night I had that nauseas feeling like you get with a stomach virus.
  22. I haven't even taken them yet. I won't get better until I take them but at the same time I'm not sure they will go down at this point.
  23. I currently have a bladder infection and last night I got sick to my stomach and threw up. Since then I throw up everything I drink except warm stuff. I'm assuming I'm swollen. My PCP says some of the vomiting is due to my bladder infection. She said to just skip my Protein drinks for today and keep sipping warm liquids. She also gave me Phenergan and Cipro to take. Is this the plan you would follow? Just skip the protein? She said I'll feel better once I get a couple days of the antibiotic down.
