You look amazing!!! Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi, you look awesome!

  3. Hi Larry! How are you? You must have recently had your first fill like me, right? If so, how was it? Do you have restriction?

  4. Hi Larry---nice to meet you. I am doing well. No weight is coming off yet because I can't get my fill for another two weeks. I am hungry all of the time. My scars are healing well and I am in little to no pain with my port area. How is your port area on your tummy feeling?

    Me, 3.5 weeks post-op

  13. I had my surgery 1 day before you and what you are experiencing is 100% normal. I am hungry all of the time. However, I do get the "full" feeling which really is basically upper stomach and chest pain. Next time you eat pay very close attention to the signs your body is giving you. Doctors don't like to fill the port before 6 weeks post op because that is the period of time that our new stomache pouch requires to heal so the swelling goes down. I have been eating solid foods since day 8 and now I know what overeating, eating too fast, and not chewing enough feels like. Hope this helps even a little. Until week 6 comes around you are going to be hungry. As the other user posted---drink drink drink. Don't chug though! Sip! And do not use straws and stick with foods that are high in protein such as lean hamburger meat, skinless chicken breast, and tuna. Good Luck! Happy New Year!
  14. I as well as all of you others struggled with staying asleep for the first few days. I was awake every 45 minutes or so. I did notice that sleeping in a recliner and drinking warm chamomile tea helped me sleep for longer periods of time. By the 3rd night I was so exhausted from moving around to get showered and from point A to B that I slept like a baby in bed. By the 6th day or so I was able to sleep on my side (opposite of wear the port is). Now I am 3 weeks post-op and can sleep in any position. Even on my tummy with little to no port pain. Hang in there for this too shall pass. May the new year bring you happiness, fortune, and a new you!
